Very interested to see how the Sens play shorthanded with Ullmark. Last season I think their immaturity vs Florida showed itself so win or lose tonight I think how the Sens play and how they handle themselves will be huge. I expect they’ll handle it well but losing to Florida without Pinto and Norris isn’t the end of the world

Hopefully the boys will be ready to go from puck drop, play a strong defensive game, and stay out of the penalty box tonight. This will be a real test for them playing without starters Norris, Pinto, Cousins and Gregor. If Ullmark plays to form we should be able to stay in this game for the entire 60 minutes.

If we can't outscore the Panthers or grind out a win, I hope BTkachuk just punches in Bennet's ugly mug and someone else beats up MTkachuk.

Protect Ullmark at all costs because the Panthers are full of dirtbags that will try doing something slimy around him

This is what happens when you stay in Florida too long, and keep travelling south instead of getting the f*** out when you can.

It starts with one of your friends going missing. He just, wanders off while you're out getting drunk one night. 6 years later, you'll see him on the news, naked, high on bath salts and running down the expressway yelling at drivers.

Then a few days later, another friend goes missing when he takes a sketchy dude up on an offer to explore the Everglades on his homemade air boat that was really just a skifff with a large box fan taped to the back. Neither are ever seen again.

A third friend is still with the group, but had gone off on a solo adventure one night. When he returns 3 days later, he is missing a tooth, wearing a gas station t-shirt, is acting real sketchy, and looking surprisingly gaunt. You find him talking to himself, saying things like "s-s-shut up, they'll hear you. No. I told you, this will be easy" and "I can feel the electricity run through my body Cameron". There's no one in your group named Cameron.

Florida has a way of rooting out the weakest amongst you, finding new and unique ways to suck you into it's drug fueled vortex of misery and sadness.

Don't let it.

Say no to Florida.

Isn't Ullmark's best game to date the season opener against Florida? That one or the one in San Jose. Safe to say, we'll need a performance like that tonight to steal a win, considering some of the teams behind us lost.

Win or lose, right now after Detroit losing this afternoon, Ottawa is guaranteed to be in a playoff spot going in to the 4 nations break with the statistically "easiest" schedule to close out the rest of the year.

It's not a guarantee of anything because...well anything can happen, and of course nothing goes according to plan. But they've come this far with the hardest schedule up until now, and having 16 home games left out of 26 with many of them against their direct competition is a much better scenario than being points behind a wildcard spot with the teams ahead having games in hand and you've got a 9 game road trip left.

Not going to panic if they lose today and will just enjoy the game if they play well

Yeah honestly this is the best the Sens have done in along time and the Sens have statistically been good overall this season as well. Lots of things to look forward to even with our lack of prospect pool. We have a young core signed up long term, better vibes, and lots of cap space going forward.
