Bruins lock up Pastrnak for 8 years at $90 mil, or $11.25 AAV. Boston now had about $10.5 mil available next year. Lindholm being signed for only $6.5 mil AAV really helps out Boston's cap and roster situation going forward.

That Rangers and Ottawa game didn’t have the results I wanted, but the Rangers iced only 5D that played last night. They were gassed by the 3rd period.

Hope we can see something like this with Getz and Pears.

Not looking great, Joe.

Greenway is not exactly a core player, but adding him to Thompson, Power, Dahlin, and even Cozens and Tuch who are above average, the Sabres will be hard to contain. BIG lineup. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how their future unfolds, they seem to be better off without Eichel. I like what/how the Sens are building as well, big fan of Jimmy Stutzle, but I don't think they will be as good as the Sabres.

The old guard of Pens, Caps, Flyers, Isles etc is entering their own rebuilds. Well, some of them should, but will postpone that because reasons

Yeah their locker room is better without Eichel it seems. Ristolainen and Reinhart left the Sabres for Philly and Florida and now those teams are bad and the Sabres are better lol.

Add Sharks to the list of teams that won't get favorable calls in the future because someone dare tell the ref they truly do suck at their job. Will the refs eventually just hate the whole league and then they'll have to go back to calling a fair game?

Lip readers: OMG, he's saying something about his whistle

Perry even at his age is so much more dynamic with the puck on his stick than half our forwards

So Buccigross and now Weekes are both weirdly teasing NHL expansion teams in Houston and Atlanta. Thought it was just BS when it was just Bucci but both of these guys are undoubtedly in the know and I have no idea why they'd waste time stirring the pot with this if there wasn't something to it.

Cooper benched Stamkos, Kucherov and Point for the last period in their previous game too. They're not doing too well.

This has to be the year for the Leafs. If this version of the Lightning (who are starting to look understandably exhausted) bounces them in Round 1 yet again, I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say they might consider blowing it up and starting over.

34 teams would just be ridiculous

there's already barely enough talent for 32

Yeah, but Gary gets that sweet sweet nectar of the expansion fees. Money always comes before the quality of the product
