Can someone summarize what is going on with Pearson, the NHLPA and Vancouver? What was not handled correctly?

Oh boy...

Lehner's debts also included missed payments for a collection of rare snakes he purchased for $1.2 million in 2017, according to the bankruptcy filing.

Lehner keeps the snakes at his reptile farm in Plato, Missouri.

not even sure how you manage to accrue $50M in debt as a mid-tier athlete to be honest

kind of impressive

Was wondering what kind of bank/lender woudl get that sloppy/risky then I read briefly there's a link to E. Kane too

Don't quote me on that yet, have to read more

When you have the names "Milt and Lenny " in your company name, that alone should raise red flags about the type of loans they do.

Not that it makes things significantly better, but I read that the $50M number doesn't mean his debts are necessarily that big. It just means that the bankruptcy is in the tier between $10-50M in total debts. I am guessing he is not near the top end of that. It's still a pretty crazy/sad story.
