The Wild have 12 million tied up in buyouts/burial? goddamn.
It gets even worse the next two years. $15 million total each season.

Jesus, Kraken goes into Boston and shuts them out 3-0.

They have by far the most favorable schedule of any team. Someone brought this up on a talk show, they either get teams on the 2nd of a back-to-back or 1st game back from a long roadie. Bostons first game back after a long two week west coast roadie. We all know those game suck. Boston will probably smoke the next 5 teams.

Yeah, it sucks, but it is a rule. The rule should be reevaluated though.
maybe

i don't feel too bad about this one personally, it took him several tries to actually remove it, can't help but feel like it wasn't all that loose. ending play and forcing a free "timeout" and faceoff as the rags are circling the zone with possession is kinda equally horse shit as forcing a goalie to make saves with a loose lid. i feel like being able to shake it off is a good threshold

i think snaps are a stupid antiquated solution to backplate retention but that's another argument entirely

I tuned into the Kraken vs Bruins game yesterday and Kraken were dominating through the two periods I watched. They might be for real.

I think Seattle has banked enough points that them being a top 3 in the pacific is likely. Makes getting that other pacific spot pretty desirable if you ask me.

We have a 4% chance to win the cup.

How does Calgary have a better chance to make the PO (89.9) over LA ( 89.1) ? LA 56 points 45 games , Cal 49 points 43 games , Cal is still 3 points back even if they with the games in hand.

guessing big part is strength of schedule the rest of the way. Calgary has one of the easier schedules the rest of the season
