There's no doubt in my mind that it will continue for Greer. He surely has the talent to sustain scoring a goal on every 3 shots.
The real fluke was his 2 goals in the 47 NHL games before that.

Now I remember. Against superstar Karel Vejmelka.
One of his goals on Vejmelka was a real softy of the night candidate for me that evening, but I found some worse ones as I went along.
Did I ever say that Vejmelka is one of the worst goalies I've seen play in the NHL in the last few years? Don't get me wrong. maybe there's a few more, like call up guys (Jon Gillies being one of them) or maybe even Montembeault is worse and he's had a full time role in the league since last year and has started this year as such.
But I can't believe how bad Vejmelka is. I don't care how bad that team is. I don't think any team that isn't tanking would sign this guy. He's that bad. I don't know what the love affair was with him. And it wasn't a lot of people, but he seems to have a cult-like following.
Even Marshall Applewhite was able to lead a mass suicide and convince a bunch of people that a spaceship was coming to take them away if they ate the poisonous Jello.

He wouldn't have moved the needle hardly at all, but maybe we have one of McDavid or Matthews, as we would have for sure finished lower in 2015 and 2016 without Schneider.

If we finished lower than Carolina in 2015 we would have drafted Sebastian Aho with our 2nd.
They grabbed him with the pick right before ours so we traded down with Ottawa and drafted Blackwood with that 2nd and got a 2016 3rd, which we used to draft Joey Anderson.
He was referring to the fans’ frustration.
