Ovechkin has 16 goals in his last 14 games. 21 goals in his last 23 games.

Would be insane if he hit 50 at the age of 37.

Last year he had 27 goals after 41 games and ended the season with 50.

This season he has 29 goals after 41 games.

Can't believe the Canes added Patches last night. If they can find a capable goalie, they will be a tough out in the playoffs.
 
Can people tell me again how no one should care about cheering on national teams (ie. the Olympics), and they only care for their players on their NHL teams.

Last night was dynamite, and I forgot how much I enjoy watching the World Juniors and cheering on a Canadian team.

One is part of the Leafs organization. Different rules for different folks. It’s been proven so many times with dops to NHL getting cranky over Leafs having more training opportunities and officiating during off season.

There's a different standard for Jeremy Jacobs.

Same reason why Kadri got suspended repeatedly in the playoffs but Chara was allowed to do this and didn't even get a penalty and only received a fine after the game:

This still pisses me off because how was that any different than the 2 game suspension Matthews got for his cross check on Dahlin in the Heritage Classic.

If anything what Chara did set the precedent of what should have been just a $5,000 fine to Matthews, because at that time he had never had any hearings for supplemental discipline.

On the main boards there is that poll question asking who would you take between Matthews or Bedard? So far Bedard has 79.5% (89 votes) and Matthews has 20.5% (23 votes).

So I asked the same question only this time between Bedard and McDavid, using the same factors like contract length. So far McDavid has 80% (8 votes) and Bedard has 20% (2 votes).

I know that right now McDavid is the best player in the NHL, however it's kind of a joke that Bedard is leading one poll and not the other one.

Its HF lol. I got attacked in the Bedard prospect thread by an Oilers fan in the summer for saying that he shoots like Matthews. It was immediately followed with an lol bedard is way better than matthews. It was like an insult that I compared Bedard's shot to Matthews :laugh:

That's nothing. I once mentioned how someone from TSN compared Matthews rookie season to McDavid's rookie season, because they were both 1st overall picks in back to back years. You would have thought I started World War 3 by having Matthews mentioned in the same sentence with McDavid.

The mainboards are brutal. And there are certain mods there that will give infractions for literally anything if you’re a Leafs fan. Heck we’ve seen that happen here with a mod from another team who trolled us and couldn’t do simple math.
