Not that I ever had much, but I've lost all respect for the Bruins management.

On the other hand, based purely on what I have heard, my respect for their current players has grown a lot.

(I'll still be cheering for whoever is playing against them.)

A couple of interesting starts from guys who signed big extensions in the off-season:

Kyrou - 3 goals, 0 assist in 9 games .. is a -15

Barzal - 0 goals in 12 games but has 11 assists
they are legit doing what they did with JT in long island...i alwyas have a soft spot for barzal but its kind of funny because its sad.

also yea im happy but jesus who had a massive brain fart like that

Bruins MGT did a very stupid thing.
The players asked WHY
The GM presser showed he was unsure and still did it.
The League the player is not eligible
The agent claimed the player had done a lot to change but it turned out either they were court mandated hours or didn’t even show up at those community thing.
Not sure if it is true but apparently a whole bunch of people from the area are backing the signing and accusing the victim’s family on Twitter. Which somehow further proved the point where the victim’s letter hinted if not for them then the community will have signs to celebrate Miller as a NHLer. Which means a lot of people in the community think it was just boys being boys… racist is a better word to describe those in the community.
Then they cancel the contract on Sunday night.

What a complete clown show this whole Miller thing was for the bruins. I really hope that move puts their season in a tail spin. I think it really affected the players on Saturday night which was to the Leafs benefit.

Also, f*** all the disgusting people on this site that were constantly defending the signing of Miller, and the ones that are still doing it. Just absolutely pathetic. Have some morals.

Another thing is don't forget that the Bruins were not the only organization that was interested in signing Miller... Whoever those other orgs are, theyre lucky Miller picked the bruins.

I think this should at least put Miller to bed for the next few years. But I wont be shocked if hes signed again within the next 5 years.

It is not even like he is a great player. He was maybe a top 75 caliber prospect who could have become a decent 2nd pairing defenseman if things went well, and he would have always had size issues.

There are easily a dozen better defensive prospects than him in any given year.

Pretty disgusting. As a kid (age 8-9), I witnessed disgusting things similar in the 60's. We didn't live in a "nice" area and our schools were overcrowded, and there was "accommodation" made for intellectually disabled but well, you would think 50 years later everyone would have evolved (been educated) , but that isn't the case. As society is no different, there still are those people.

Today with social media, I tend to question everything.

This stood out to me:

These claims at this time are unverifiable

Honestly, this is just sad, and frankly BS. Yes, question things on Social Media... if there was even an ounce of truth to the "Local Parent" story, somehow that wouldn't come out? Clearly Miller, or his representation would have noted this, and released it. Surely the Bruins would know this, and we wouldn't be here. Do you really believe that it goes to court, and they don't realize he isn't so disabled, as the claim and legal records show?

You can always find counter claims on Social Media, and most, like this one, are BS... it's pretty clear to see, even with a second of analysis. Think before sharing.

I do question this, but I question the entire situation.
How is he wearing a USA sweater?
Why now?

I still can't believe Jack Campbell got a 25M contract after the season he had. Who were they bidding against? He definitely deserves more than what we had offered him but that's a generous raise for the season he had and for his age

They had interest way before the talking period as well, I always felt like there was some tampering there, but nothing obviously that I can prove --- only by the reports in the media. He was their guy ever since the season was over though and they signed him the second they could.

What a great guy Campbell is, and he can truly be elite when his head is in the right space. Unfortunately, there are extended periods where it isn't. I highly doubt the Leafs, nor any of the fans care if there was tampering.. by all means, he's yours. I generally hope for the best, for his mental health and stability, it's got to be tough going through what he is. Edmonton was a bad decision for him, in that regards. Good for the $ though, and I don't blame him for taking that.

The tampering was kinda easy to spot, but not prove. Which was why so many analysts and other hockey media guys jumped in and suggested it.

He literally signed with them the day of free agency. It was way too quick to call up his agent and get a deal done with the back and forth from team to player with the agent in between

There was good reason the Leafs it seems barely even tried to negotiate a new extension. They knew their valuation of Campbell was well below what others wanted to give him.

Wasn't term a big part of the decision to let him walk? I thought the Leafs would do 2 maybe 3 years max, but Campbell wanted more.

The evaluation would have said that the great play from Jack was the aberration, and if the lows were reasonable they probably could have lived with it but the lows were so low, on the ice and mentally.

Everyone in Leafland knew it was a good decision to move on, even if most liked the person.

5 more years of this up and down to the extreme play is going to be tough on the Oilers and their fans; they haven't even experienced the highs yet.

Surprise surprise, our resident scumbag Steve Simmons snuck this little tidbit in a recent article

AND ANOTHER THING
A hockey player I know went to prison for vehicular homicide years ago. After doing his time, he went on to play 876 more NHL games, won four Stanley Cups, and followed that up by being a coach, and a general manager in the league. And I wonder if that happens today, does he get a second chance in pro sports to make a life for himself? … If not for second chances, does Sheldon Keefe ever coach a game of professional hockey?

Innocuous enough not to stir up more controversy for him, but he made it clear which side he’s on in the Miller debate

Who would expect anything less from this out of touch dumbass? No one is against a second chance... for people who own their mistake and take steps at reparation. Yet another one that goes over his head. Good one Steve.
