Campbell getting lit up. Nearly a year since his hot 2021 November ended and he was a sub .900 goalie the rest of the season. So far looking like Leafs made right decision to walk away.
I was thinking the same thing... Mitch talking about how much he cares and how hard he is on himself....
The conversation should never be him talking about himself...no matter how the media spins it. Marner should say he let his team down, those giveaways should not happen and he let the team down and he deserves to be sat because others were certainly playing better than he was.
Instead he defended the choice of a making the plays "I make those plays all the time" and then tried to convince everyone that he cares the most and explain how he is very hard on himself. I still don't understand the relevance of him telling everyone how much he cares. If you were Holl reading into this... How would you feel that Marner "sewered" you on the ice and then he went in front of the media and said...but I care a lot, everyone knows this.
It's just very strange and selfish.... It's hard to build a culture when your top played players are talking as individuals.
You know who cares alot? Players taking hits to make plays, players going to the front of the net, players going hard into corners...players defending teammates and grappling players.....
Marner cares more about himself than he does winning...and that's ok... But his play certainly isn't a player who cars more about winning than himself. There are a very large of the nhl that I would say care more about winning then mitch marner.

I love the guy just liked i liked reimer but they aren't guys you can win with.
Its kind of ironic that people were thinking we were crazy for letting him go but only realizing if your defense is so bad...campbell isnt the guy to save your ass.

Devils look damn good. So quick through the neutral zone and a ton of creativity up front led by Bratt and Hughes. They just need to keep getting solid goaltending instead of bottom tier like last year
