I didn't get to watch every game of this series but the ones I did Fox looked awful and Panarin wasn't much of a factor. 5v5 Rangers were terrible.

One thing is sure: Toronto won't have home ice in the conference finals, if the leafs make it that far.

New Jersey had 112 points in the regular season, metropolitan division winner Carolina had 113 points. Toronto closely behind both teams with 111 points registered during the season.

Only downside to this result is the Leafs not having home ice advantage for a potential ECF berth/series. Aside from that, there's been a real changing of the guard in these playoffs and it has made for quite the sight.

Goalies has to be your best player
One thing that has eluded us for years now

We finally got some timely save from Samsonov

Wild that Washington got rid of both Vanecek and Samsonov to bring in an older goalie in Kuemper, only to miss the playoffs while the other two progress their game to lead their teams into the second round.

Vanecek is nothing special and Caps miss the playoffs even with Sammy there.

Worked out better for him.

Well. For all those that thought Gallant should have been hired by the Leafs, he might just have fit right in.

Taking an ultra talented team and losing Round 1 in 7.

Didn't he take them to conference finals last year?

He got injured no?

yea, i guess. idk, it left a sour taste with a lot of fans. gave up so much for him and he seemed like he was already broken coming here and then shattered into pieces and contributed absolutely nothing actually negatively contributed like a mole inserted by columbus to take us down from the inside.

and then he goes to the big bad bruins. glad he lost.
