The problem is I don't think Isles could outscore Boston.
But Isles got Engvall the Bruins killer.

On a serious note, I would prefer Islanders face Bruins.
1. Islanders is a physical team and even if Bruins sweep them in four, it wont be a cake walk
2. Sorokin can steal a series
3. I want the Leafs to beat the Islanders in playoffs in order to end all the Lou Vs Dubas on this board b/c both sides are annoying and it seems like whenever I make a comment about anything related to Lou and Islanders will end up being attacked by someone on this forum for no apparent reason but Dubas is better than Lou....

True, I take comfort that one will miss the playoffs after both being darlings of the Canadian hockey media during the offseason and at the start of the year.
I don't mind them being the darlings, just hate it when it always come back to comparing them to the Leafs. People talk about living rent free in other teams fanbase but most of it are because of the medias constantly bringing in the word LEAFS into their article in order to drive traffic.

Islanders are exactly the type of team that would be such a headache for the Leafs.

I don't think there is any playoffs teams in the East that won't be a headache for the Leafs.

Bruins, TB, Rangers and Islanders either got goalies that can steal the series or just being the best team in Hockey.

Pens got Sid and Geno and you never know if and when those two can turn back the clock.

Devils and Panthers seem to be better matchup but one team is super fast and the other is no push over esp with Tkachuk and Bob, not to mention their top scorer being an ex-Leaf.

In the playoffs, esp in the East, there ain't no easy team. If the Leafs' goal is to win the Cup, they will need to beat tough teams.

Pierre-Luc Dubois playing like he doesn't care one bit. I wouldn't even want him on our 4th line at min. salary. Playing like Kadri did last night and likes to spend time in the penalty box.

He's going to be a real pain in the ass when he finally joins his precious Habs.

Jets look like they're the ones on a 3 in 4/B2B. Scheifele and Wheeler have been awful

Wheeler is cooked. Scheifele has checked out.

Leafs magic number for home ice if my math is correct is 3. Tampa can at maximum get 104 points. Leafs currently sit at 102 points with 5 games left.

Jets schedule is pretty tough compared to the Flames. 4 games left for Winnipeg to the Flames 3, but Winnipeg plays a desperate Nashville team next, a sad sack Sharks team, and finish against Minnesota and Colorado, both of whom are one of three Central teams tied at 98 points for the division crown so they won't be taking it easy.

Flames meanwhile face a mediocre Canucks team who would love to play spoilers, desperate Nashville, and awful San Jose. If the results for both Winnipeg and Calgary end with the higher ranked teams winning these games Flames are in and Jets are out. Exciting finish. Hell Nashville could still make it if both shit the bed.

In typical fashion, he was too busy trying to be a pest instead of actually playing.
