We have an easy schedule so we can actually make some ground up if the team decides they want to wake up and play. Very little chance you catch them but a win streak for us + a losing skid for them and that gap tightens

Really good story, props to Woodcroft for doing this. The Oilers were just killing clock at that point but Woodcroft used it to fulfill someone’s dream. You could tell the team loved it as well

Some will argue half his points are on the PP and he plays in a weaker conference. Truth is he plays at a higher speed and skill level. As good as players are today, he is better. Willie is having a career year, yet might not hit 92 points in the full season.

Oilers got him to sign a long term contract. He'll be getting a huge raise when he re-signs after the Cap Increases happen.

Draisaitl will be getting a bigger raise though.

Matthews will be re-signing while the league is still recovering from Covid-Cap.
