Colorado spent a lot of future assets to get Kuemper, Lekhonen and Manson. Kuemper was the full year, but it was short-term. They only picked two times this past draft --- once in the 6th round and once in the 7th round. They traded a lot of pretty good prospects as well.
So one example?

I think if any team is going to jump into the playoffs it will be Florida.

They were playong better than their record in the first half and they still have a lot of firepower.

I think they will be an easy out for Bos or Car but still think they will sneak in

Checking scores on nhl.com, I noticed that the Kings/Flyers game was in OT and BOTH teams had EMPTY NET status. If accurate, I have no memory of both teams pulling their goalie at the same time but I guess if you're playing a team in the other conference, you have your guaranteed point, well why not?

Must've been a glitch.

If you pull your goalie in OT and lose by an empty net goal, you forfeit the extra point.

Pretty sure we will that call against the Leafs come April. Awful call

Tampa Bay already taking notes and refs already warming their whistles...how many 5-on-3 powerplays are they going to get against the Leafs this coming April because they got 3 consecutive games of 5-on-3 powerplays last playoffs against the Leafs?

That site can be very weird. I often catch them reporting stuff that is 100% inaccurate. The other night it said Nylander was hauled down on a breakaway in OT an awarded a penalty shot. About a minute later I refreshed, and it said Nylander scored on the penalty shot and the Leafs won in OT. Next morning I watched the hilight reel and Nylander had in fact scored to win in OT but it was basically and end to end rush with no breakaway, no haul down, no penalty shot.

Have seen multiple other times where they report a goal being scored, you come back 5 minutes later and the goal was never scored and the clock has gone backwards. Now there are legitimate cases where this could happen but the ones I speak of, it didn't happen.

Really makes you wonder what is going on over there?

Interesting. Hasn't played a professional game since 2015.

(Former Leaf, obviously).

It's like 4th tier pro, but he played with the Columbus River Dragons of the FPHL last year, to kickstart his comeback and has been playing with the Motor City Rockers this season. Sounds like he earned a promotion up to the E!

He's had some substance (and legal) issues and it sounded like he was trying to get back into hockey to help turn things around, to which I can only respect people for trying
