So far tonight Ottawa has had 9 power plays and is 4/9, where as Pittsburgh is 2/5 on the power play.

Last night the Panthers fans complained about the 7 power plays the Leafs had. However when is the last time any team had 9 power plays?

The game is on the background at this place and I was wondering why the Sens were heavily outshooting the Pens

4/9 on the PP is ridiculous lmao

It's funny and actually sad how Keefe gets fined $25,000 when he complained after the game in St. Louis. However, it's obvious that Paul Maurice won't be fined, and I doubt Mike Sullivan will be fined either.
I thought the fine was for swearing at the ref during the game.

What has happened to Marchment?

1 goal in his last 21, 1 point in his last 12.

He's done it before. First year in Florida he had like 7 points in his first 10 games and then had 3 in the last 23.

Last year, he went on some huge streaks (including a 6 point game) but also disappeared for stretches and was awful in the playoffs.

This year, put up a ton of points early on, and now is a sub-replacement player making 4.5 mill. Even averaging out the two quarters, it has been more bad than good... 4.5 mill for an offensive guy pacing 40 points is not attractive.

Maybe he figures he signed a contract to play hockey and dislikes his employer forcing something that has nothing to do with his employment or agreed to contract on him?
Again, nothing is being forced on him. Yes, he signed a contract to play hockey, but participating in team warmups and wearing team jerseys is part of that. And with that job and all that money and public fame that he's been handed comes a responsibility as role models and representatives of an organization and community. Provorov was asked to do the absolute bare minimum possible, in joining his teammates for one warmup in a slightly colourful jersey as a superficial show of support for a marginalized group and their right to live their life like everybody else, and have access to the sport that gave Provorov everything he has. He instead made a choice to essentially spit on a portion of his fanbase, and criticism of that is justified.
