Boston potentially on their way to another loss. This was going to be Cassidy's biggest test and all though it's early, not looking good. If Boston does something silly and fire him, I would be all over him. I think Keefe is a good coach but Cassidy I consider an elite coach.

I think the Bruins are finally done. The Atlantic division is set unless Detroit does the unimaginable.

If you go a step further and look at points per game per 1 million dollars the leafs top 4 have a 0.0253 and Dallas top 4 has 0.0197. That is a percent increase of 28.4%, I.e. the leafs top 4 guys are producing around 30% better per dollar than the Dallas guys

And if you look at points per game per 1 million dollars in the playoffs, the Leafs top 4 drop from 0.0253 to 0.0200 and Dallas top 4 rise from 0.0197 to 0.0198. A virtual tie in the playoffs, unless you also look at results.

Again, which is more important to you: regular season or playoffs?

Still early I’d say as well. They seemingly start slow only to steamroll the league as the season progresses.

Mind you, I’ve been waiting and expecting the wheels to fall off them for 3/4 years now. Maybe this is finally the time it happens.

Yeah their centre depth is pretty weak .. Coyle - Haula - Nosek ... I think their goaltending will make or break their year. A lot riding on Ullmark playing up to his contract. Also their blue line doesn't impress me on paper.

But they seem to be competitive despite question marks before so who knows.

In 72 Paul Henderson who scored on if the most famous goals is not in the HOF.
Doug Wilson took 24 yesterday to enter the HOF.
