All 3 California teams are off to good starts this season. Neither are sustainable but particularly with LA and Anaheim it's mainly goaltending. Still good for them.
LMAOlike wtf man wtf

He had 11 points in 50 games last year.Just noticed Johnsson has 6 goals and 9 points in 11 games for Devils. I likes him as a player, except he's injury prone...if he turns it around it will be yet another trade lost by Dubas.

We don't need to panic and blame the GM every time a player who was on the team at one point in time goes on a mini hot streak.
Barabanov continuing strong play for San Jose. 5 points in 7 games.
Mason Marchement 7 points in 10 games for Florida.
Kase, Kampf, Ritchie, combined 4 points in 13 games LOL. Super small sample size I know, but just funny to see sometimes.

If it weren’t for COVID, he would had gone through training camp and preseason, most likely end up in the top 9 instead of 13th forward, really can’t see how he could not beat out Vesey. Putting Vesey in the top 6 was more to do with reputations and history in the league than anything.
Marchment is interesting bc he could not catch up when he was called up, didn’t really showed much on the Marlies and I think if it were not for his size and last name, don’t think anyone would even know who he is.
Maybe by getting traded to Panthers made him work harder and/or the coaches in Florida just clicked with him.
I would disagree that Marchment did not show much with the Marlies. From what I had read, he continued to get better and take big leaps every year.

From what you read? Where did you read this?

1. IF the Leafs was not a fast team and Marchment could not keep up. It just means he is super slow, and why would any teams give him an opportunity. He barely played for the Leafs. And it's not like they were a fast team, so he wasn't exactly out of place
The year he got called up was his best year on the Marlies. He had 18 in 24 with 13 goals, before having 1 in 4 with the leafs1. IF the Leafs was not a fast team and Marchment could not keep up. It just means he is super slow, and why would any teams give him an opportunity.
2. in 2019-20, The Leafs was a fast team. Beside the Big Four, Kap and Soup are probably top 5 in speed, while AJ, Engvall and Kerfoot are not slow.
Leafs gave Marchment opportunities in both Marlies and called up. If anything, he really didn't deserve to be called up that year b/c he was not good at all.

He's gone from a middle 6 AHL'er when he joined the marlies, to a top-line AHLer in his 4 game season with the leafs, to a great 4th liner in the NHL.
If he's giving the panthers 30ish points along with his size and overall ability to be relied to start in the defensive zone, he's developed incredibly for an undrafted player with poor skating
He played 4 games with the Leafs, so definitely not enough to evaluate whether he can actually keep up in the NHL. And by all accounts, he was progressing in the AHL, so a call-up was deserved.
He really didn't do well or look like a NHLer when he was called up. How many chances do you give a player.
Glad he is doing well and I think that had more to do with him realizing he cant waste any more opportunity than Dubas making a bad move.
Wow totally not sus at allThe Isles and Komarov agree to mutually terminate his contract… so they don’t incur any cap hit or penalties
