King Clancy was a great Maple Leaf who played until his mid 30’s. Every year, in his honour, the King Clancy award is given out to older NHL players, most likely to sign with the Leafs for a minimum contract. This years King Clancy award goes to PK Subban.

Problem is, they are a team that seems kind of in limbo. Solid goalie and defense, but their offense is lacking and that is without considering the ages of Marchand and Bergeron nor Pastrnak potentially leaving. Seems like a good idea to capitalize now, maybe luck out with Bedard, and then perhaps leverage UFA to get a little bit younger.

Of course, they probably will re-sign Pastrnak if he wants to stay. But they can't let him leave for nothing.

True. And I guess they can start negotiations in July so that price might dictate a trade scenario.

Well one is healthy now and the other we traded for a marshmallow. Why don’t you ask the fans that have them that question?

Maybe they are “leading their teams” because there is no goaltending in the west? It was horrific.

Again. Hyman had multiple chances and multiple injuries and couldn’t score. 5 straight series lost. 5 straight chances to be a difference maker. He didn’t.

The idea that people would even entertain signing Hyman for 5 million after 2 knee injuries at 30’is ridiculous.

Kadri had 2 suspensions in his last 3 years going into this playoff. The only non suspended uear he had he was directly responsible for the tying and winning goal in game 7 against dallas

Going in to this year the same people would be crying we walk him to ufa.

This year he runs a goalie and now is injured.

Fat Maroon scores.

What a move by Bogosian of all people though.

I sure hope not. I’m sick of seeing them win every year.
I'll take a TB- Colorado final that goes 7 with Kadri returning for the final game and scoring a hat trick to win

Wow, does this ever look slow compared to last night.

Methodical play.
Has there ever been a year with such a divide in style of play like this playoffs? The two conferences are playing completely different hockey

Tampa may win the Cup but their run is over after these playoffs. They really miss the skill and energy the third line provided last year and they look tired.

Point is the engine of their offense. They won without Stamkos two years ago, don't look nearly as good now without Point.

I didn't believe in Tampa, didn't think they would have the motivation, and missing Point, and Vasi looked shaky. But yeah, the series has changed. Rangers look terrible. They kind of look like the Leafs when we don't show up.

Rangers look like utter crap.

Really hope Colorado can beat TB. The thought of another sun belt Cup for all those bandwagon fans sickens me.
25 yrs ago when I’d go to Dunedin I had to ask the bartender to find a hockey game, now theyre on in every sports bar. Terrific market.

This game isn’t even remotely competitive or fun to watch. Same with the WCF (though watching the Oilers lose is satisfying).

These playoffs have been very underwhelming imo. Not even the battle of Alberta had much intensity. I guess this is the end product of that awesome divisional playoff format Gary wanted so bad.
