He saw a .923 save percentage and ignored the team he played for. That was his problem. .923 on Edmonton would have been worth that, not Carolina. Who doesn't have a .920+ save % in Carolina?
So he failed so far to land us that sort of playoff-winning goalie, and we have no other NHL goalie under contract other than Mrazek who's clearly not up to task.
That's a huge concern, based on how important the position and this upcoming season is, yes?
Not sure how many more chances Dubas has left with the Leafs to just roll the dice on random journeymen goalies.
