No it isn't. You're making it seem like it is. They just so happened to acquire those players in that way. I was merely pointing out the status of each (Elite goalie, 1D etc). The Leafs timeline in making the playoffs post Matthews pick lined up with the next year having two 1D quality guys go in the top 4. That was my point.
