I can't believe Holland had all that money this summer and spent it all on Hyman, RNH, Keith, Barrie, and Ceci.

Just all the capspace he'll ever have dumped right onto complementary players at best, and that's being generous to some of them. Hyman's the only one of those guys I'd even want on my team at any price, and even he I wouldn't want at that price.

He could have saved that money for 2-3 actual difference makers but nope.

And now it's still McDrai or nothing, and not even good depth bought with all that money.

What a fail.
I like RNH... the rest not so much. We may have dodged a bullet with Hyman though, Bunting and Kase have been excellent and Ritchie although not as productive as we want has been brought an intimidation and toughness factor we have been dearly missing and he can make a pass. Loved watching him dump Marchand and watching him go after Dubois in Winnipeg. Hyman was a fan favorite but happy we passed on the price.

Panthers slapping a Covid riddled tampa team. I don’t know how much stock I’d put into this game, but it wouldn’t be a lot.

Canes rolling along. They may add a little playoff toughness and take a run this year.

I’d put 0 stock in it.

But…..If Vas went down, one of the soft eastern teams could go to the final. The NHL is that bad.

Barrie being signed made no sense, they had nurse and Bouchard for pp duties, making barrie obsolete as that guy doesn’t know the term defence

Keith pretty much told everyone he’d only go to Edmonton, i don’t know how they didn’t get 50% retention and give up less. He shouldn’t have been a priority move unless he was available for dirt cheap

They stuck with Smith and Koskinen….. that’s just bad management. Andersen, kuemper, nedeljkovic, mrazek, raanta, hill and many others were available to sign or trade for

Dumpster diving doesn’t work for them. Turris, Ryan, Sceviour have all been bad.

Foegele seems like a nice add, but he has literally no one to play with. They haven’t found value in rebounding guys either, apart from their own pick of puljujarvi

Ceci cannot be the best move any team makes, especially if their goal is to win a cup

somehow they make capable nhl players like ennis and kahun look unplayable

It’s actually sad to see as they are wasting superstar talent

How exactly would Mrazek of helped the oilers? Smith is better if at his age and both have been hurt all season, difference is Smith isn’t always injured.

Was just listing options that came to my mind.

With Edmonton When Smith was out with an injury it was all Koskinens fault. Now Smith has lost two in a row.

how many coaches is Connor McDavid going to get fired? What are they on like their fourth coach under him?

Ducks and Knights in a good old tilt. Exciting, entertaining, and the way the game was designed to be played.

Oilers fans in shambles right now...

WTF was Holland thinking signing 39 year old Mike Smith to a 2 year extension. He's only 2.2m on the salary cap, but what a massive fail not trying to pick up a better, younger goalie. And they also have no defense and zero secondary scoring. McJesus is going to be a Leaf when his contract ends :)

It's funny reading comments by Oilers fans who think Mike Babcock will fix their terrible team defence.

Babs strategy of laying low and collecting that fat MLSE cash is working. He’s getting mentioned for perceived openings again. I’d love to see him resurface in Canada but I think he’s too cunning for that. Gotta move far away from where you sold your last batch of snake oil.
If the oilers to go the old school route Julien would be a good fit on a short term. But his style is pretty close to Tippet I guess.
