You're right, not that the stain would affect his legacy all that much anyway since he's already inducted himself into the hockey hall of Fame, but it would be nice to look back at Phoenix as a bettman failure, (despite the fact that Auston Matthews wouldn't be playing hockey for us right now if not for that city having a team)

Guess maybe Matthews will rethink bolting to Arizona when his contract is done?

NHL teams are so chickenshit. They honestly think that there's only 20 guys that can ever do the job and that they need to keep hiring them.

I don't understand why they keep going back to dinosaurs. Rutherford is probably a fine President choice, he's in the hall of fame for a reason, but if he does get to be the GM... it blows my mind. There are leagues upon leagues with great hockey people to hire and they constantly re-hire used hockey men that haven't done much in recent years.
