Weasel or just really clever as a politician. Won’t make statements unless he absolutely got to and always divert the to others.
Like the Olympics, he just kicked the ball to the PA. That way he is not saying he is or is not supporting the boycott and also if anything happens he will always go to, it was a decision by the PA and I respect that….
Is it not up to the PA?

Oilers are lucky the power play is the only thing that works there. Without that, they're a bottom 6 team. Their 5v5 play is closer to league basement. Have you seen their gf% at 5v5? You'll have tears of joy lmao.

Oilers fans honeymoon with Hyman is over, and Barrie must be traded.

The Flames doing their thing only makes it burn more for Oilers Nation lmao.

There's really no excuse for how they get caved at evens. They have prime Crosby/Malkin without even a fraction of the injury troubles.

It's a real problem and if Holland/Tippett have a brain between them they need to get working on it asap, because the NHL has made it clear time and again that the whistles go away in the playoffs. This is a league where McDavid couldn't get a single penalty called against the Jets of all teams last year. You can pout about it all you want, I did versus Boston, but that's reality. You can acknowledge it and have a chance at winning, or you can get righteously indignant and lose.

Crosby was elite defensively.

McDavid is awful defensively.

Just saw that Devon Toews is having an unreal start to his season in Colorado .. 17 points in 14 games without top unit PP time. He's been a big piece for them.

Isles only getting a pair of 2nds for him seems like such a bargain right now for the Av's.
Definitely having a great season but a big part i would think is he is playing with Makar and is stacking secondary assist as a result.

He got top PP time while Makar was out, to his credit the PP didn't miss a beat. The trade was a steal, very underrated player.

Isles cap management was atrocious. Lou decided to pay Komarov's, Clutterbuck's, Matt Martin's of the world instead.

Reactions: Seath The Scaleless
Testing NHL assumptions: Tocchet to the Flyers, Fleury to a contender, Sedins taking over the Canucks - ESPN.com

Assumption: Rick Tocchet will be the next coach of the Philadelphia Flyers

It's strange to watch a Flyers team with no discernible personality, because this is a franchise whose very logo conjures visions to gap-tooth smiles and on-ice assaults. That's undoubtedly the appeal of Tocchet, who spent 621 games and 1,815 penalty minutes with the Flyers in two different stints as a player. He's a bit overrated as a head coach, in the sense that anyone who squeezes even a little success out of the Arizona Coyotes gets an achievement multiplier. (See also: Darcy Kuemper and Don Maloney). His teams there never generated enough offense to match their consistently decent defense.

Tocchet is currently a studio analyst with TNT, where he's quite good as the sarcastic older brother to Paul Bissonnette.

Probability: 75%. The lure of "ex-Flyer returns to make Flyers good again" is probably too strong for the team to ignore. But keep in mind that (a) maybe Tocchet likes being on TV, (b) GM Chuck Fletcher's unending admiration for interim coach Mike Yeo and (c) that there are other interesting candidates out there, including former Dallas Stars coach Jim Montgomery, who is not only a former Flyers player but coined "The Legion of Doom" nickname for the Eric Lindros line, no less.

OK and (d) the financial aspect of this. Alain Vigneault makes $5 million annually through 2023-24. Tocchet made $1.5 million as head coach of the Coyotes and is rather well-compensated as a TV analyst. That could be a lot of cheddar between the guy they hire to coach and the guy they're paying to not coach...
