There's really no excuse for how they get caved at evens. They have prime Crosby/Malkin without even a fraction of the injury troubles.
It's a real problem and if Holland/Tippett have a brain between them they need to getting working on it asap, because the NHL has made it clear time and again that the whistles go away in the playoffs. This is a league where McDavid couldn't get a single penalty called against the Jets of all teams last year. You can pout about it all you want, I did versus Boston, but that's reality. You can acknowledge it and have a chance at winning, or you can get righteously indignant and lose.
