I know people are still upset about the hyman thing but for real though..The oilers are all the Draisalt and McDavid show...like man they picked up Ceci & Barrie from us...and I dont think they are doing that great either from the two or three games I caught. Like its legit those two guys playing out of their minds or they lose and can't win games.

Good on Hyman for getting his money, would have been awesome if we could have gotten him and bunting together for 4 or so mil, but Hymans gotta do whats best for him. I wanna cheer him on, but he's an oiler, makes it tough

a) screw Hyman tbh. He left for the money and went to the fricken Oilers. Any love I had for him is gone. He had no idea how good he had it here.

b) he had a great start like the whole team did but yeah, the dirty secret is that Hyman isn't great defensively, and while he has a good impact offensively he better not let his contract and early scoring success get to his head and make him forget what kind of player he is because if he loses his meatnpotatoes edge he's gonna become an anchor contract sooner than thought.

The Oilers also had one of the softest schedules in the league to start the season. They are essentially the exact same team they were last year. They haven't improved in any meaningful way.

I can't see many people saying that Zach wouldn't be a good addition to our team. I can't see many people arguing that Bunting at 1/5th the contract isn't good value.

Bunting is Dubas most brilliant signing, with Kase a close second. The challenge will be to resign them or find new versions when they become UFAs.

I don't think anyone hates Hyman for leaving us for money. He was good foot soldier on great contract and could get lot more money elsewhere. Doesn't bother me, but I don't have any love or sympathy for him anymore. He chose money and if it was right move for him. Good. It will be eventual pain in Edmonton for him, sooner or later, but I hope his happy with his choice.

For us it was no brainer not to sign him to that kind of contract.

Seeing how bad Ducharme is as a coach even taking into account the roster, it makes me think if Keefe really was outcoached in the series. Thats not to say he was good. I think to a decent degree he was outcoached, but I don't think he was one of the main problems.
Games 2-4 he coached perfectly. I can't blame him for games 5 and 6. His mistake was not switching Matthews and Marner in game 7.
