He’s the equivalent of what someone like Beauchemin was for us, if you want to create narratives to justify jersey retirements you could go on about how Beauchemins fight with Iginla turned this franchise around as it led us to the WCFs and that he ate the most minutes in our cup run.

Nope but I think it will be tighter than some people expect. Kings can match Kopitar and Danault against McDavid and Draisaitl. I think those two will make it very hard for the Oilers to score.

If it does it will be over in 3. The Kings have awful special teams and the Oilers obviously have one of if not the scariest powerplays.

Short of a nuclear meltdown in the Oilers net, which admittedly is possible, this isn't going to be a long series.

Beauch was the exact person I was going to hypothetically say "what if he was wearing the "C" during the Ducks' first cup"? I think Beauch would have an argument to go up in the rafters if that were the case as well. I understand your POV though.

I'd still lean no and given the Kings have an equally high standard for number retirements I think Brown is SOL.

I’m mostly rooting for whoever is playing Toronto or LA but there are also a handful of teams/players I like. I would love to see Perry win another cup. So TB ticks a couple of boxes.

I'm pulling for Florida. They have likeable players and that franchise could seriously use some success for once.

And as much as I dislike the team itself, I'd feel remiss if I couldn't watch this Avs core make the finals at least once. It'd be a shame for a team to be that good but just not make it. Looking at you, '15 Ducks.

I am expecting Tampa to just win another one. I would like to see another team win but Perry could get another cup, so I would be ok if Tampa wins it. There are a bunch of teams who I would be happy for if they won like Florida, Carolina and Rangers.
