Comparing what he dealt with under Sutter to Peters is reaching, far. And he barely even played under the man and is accusing the entire Sutter family of abuse? Carcillo is an attention ****e. I hope he gets sued for slander if he’s going to make these ridiculous allegations. Dustin Penner is also calling Carcillo out on his B.S.

Carcillo called out Sutter?

Okay, I went and looked at the specific tweet and it basically says, "DM me if you want details."

It's notable, at least to my knowledge, that no one has backed up his claim about the Sutters. What is the abuse Sutter committed that he witnessed when Carcillo was with the Kings? He doesn't give any specifics. None of it corroborated by any of his teammates. Under age drinking? Really? Give me a break.

I think if you play organized sports long enough on any level (and sometimes this depends on the era) you are going to experience some type of verbal abuse, and even perhaps some minor physical abuse.

sometimes coaches need to yell. Imagine trying to get 20 17 year olds to move in the same direction. Underage drinking is a non-issue for me. The sexual abuse to the sutters comment pisses me off, but I am trying to not be too defensive in case it is true. If it is true that will be shattering for a lot of communities.

If having the rookies wear women's clothing is the worst of it, this is a nothing burger. As I said, I haven't seen a single player at any level corroborate his story. If we don't see someone do so within the next few weeks my skepticism will grow.

And those hazing rituals is stuff done between the players that typically don't involve the coaches. Lumping the Sutters in the same breath as sexual abusers goes to show the mental state and reliability of Dan Carcillo.

>Toxic Masculinity doesn't exist

>Son, time for you to learn how to be respected and keep your teammates from pissing in your glove; you have to fight the biggest kid on your team on your first day.

>Pfft, hazing is normal you guys

Just to be clear and state the obvious, victims of sexual assault and abuse are often unreliable. In addition, abuse victims are more likely to be abusers themselves and are more likely to suffer mental illnesses. That doesn't mean that their accusations are any less true. It's also true that people who have done bad things can recognize their actions and try to improve themselves, as appears to be the case with Carcillo.

On the other hand, making public accusations are really tough to walk back from. You can't just stuff that back into Pandora's Box.

Situations like the one in Sherbrooke should be exposed. Those are traumatic events that no one should be subjected to against their will. Saying "you don't have to participate" is bullshit. You risk being ostracized and outcast and for a lot of these kids, it can potentially negatively impact their future. This kind of behavior is no different than that exposed in the Me Too movement: people in positions of power taking advantage of people in more vulnerable positions. No one should be held in such regard that their repugnant behavior should be brushed aside. Whether or not that involves the Sutter family is yet to be seen.

weird!

just like their sudden team decline

weird!

I'm sure it's just a very weird coincidence that doesn't at all correspond with their drop in goals from 3.3 to under 3 and their rise in goals against from 2.7ish to over 3 with most of their individual ice times evening out.

Just in case it wasn't clear f*** Vegas and their clown shoes f***ing organization. There will be nothing sweeter than watching that organization and born-on-3rd-base media support sink to the bottom of the standings.
