As of right now there are no "public" current allegations.

Happy?
Right, hence "within the organization". So like I said, maybe the people involved know something you don't? Also notice I keep saying "maybe"? That's me not jumping to conclusions and considering all possibilities.

You're sounding like a certain other person who continually stated it was fact that the Kings doctors didn't know what was wrong with Vilardi just because they didn't tell him about it personally. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Maybe there's current allegations within the organization? Maybe twitter has nothing to do with it and people just don't want to have to deal with *******s in the workplace anymore? Maybe getting outraged on the internet about people getting outraged on the internet is a tad ridiculous? Maybe we should wait and see what happens?

No? Carry on then.
i'm not outraged, i've dedicated maybe 15 posts to this topic between platforms and moved on, and i'm generally more interested in calling people out on their bullshit than i am getting involved in the topic myself

not like it goes anywhere, you have to nerve to disagree with the moderation on this site they just delete your posts, infract you and remove privileges with no recourse just like my posts on the main board were right now. no surprise though.

Dude come on, you're post I quoted wasn't outrage? Give me a break.

"calmer than you"

"Waiving the f***ing gun around???"

"calmer than you"

Funnily enough, I also had my posts deleted and got infracted and threadbanned on the main board yesterday for saying something to a former moderator he didn't like. It goes both ways, I assure you.

Sorry who am I sounding like? That sounds like jumping to conclusions to me.

I fully believe every team know a lot more than me, they get paid to do what they do. Doesn't mean the point of my original post is not how i feel. When it comes to alot of the allegations that have been made public I think the league needs to accept that it happened and hold itself more accountable going forward.

So you admit you might not know everything but that doesn't stop you from "how you feel". Ok dude, you win.

how high is your horse?

You say people should wait to post till they hear everything but then you yourself keep posting. You are calling me out for how I feel? I believe I am allowed to feel how i want. I am humble enough to know I do not know everything and do not pretend to. All I have said is I do not like that these past actions are having such an impact today. I want current accountability.

Not high at all. You started by equating getting fired from a job to criminal charges, so I called you on that. It then took how many posts to get you to admit that you might not have all the facts? I guess calling people out is only cool when it goes one way. You can feel however you want, like I said, you win.

You missed the point of my first post and have not moved on. It was not equating getting fired to criminal charges but was supposed to be about holding people accountable for past actions when societal norms have changed.

Would be very interested to know if there are those that believe Voynov should have been reinstated and allowed to play again while also being on board this ridiculous witch hunt of mean coaches. Would be a fascinating person yet, somehow, I think that they exist.

Anyways, this is very similar to the #metoo thing where you snag legit monsters but then also toss the baby out with the bathwater. Allegations on Twitter lead to an instant conviction in the court of public opinion. You get petty vindictiveness wrapped inside of a greater cause but each case is treated the same. Is Al Franken Harvey Weinstein? Nope. Doesn't matter though.

The idea that you can't work anymore because you used to coach a certain way that was tolerated at the time is ridiculous. These aren't Nazi war criminals.

Thank God that this all happened after 2014 or else we wouldn't have two banners hanging at Staples.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but in the same vein of "These aren't Nazi war criminals", nobody is getting arrested, charged or shot out of a cannon. In fact, to date only one person has actually lost their job, and that was for admitting to being a racist prick in front of an entire team of players. All the stories about Babcock actually had nothing to do with his firing nor are they guaranteeing he will never coach again, they're just proving the guy is a dick, and the stuff with Crawford remains to be seen.

I'm just glad they're calling out this behavior.

People may have allowed it to go on ten years ago, but it's never acceptable.

Crawford was in a position of power and physically and emotionally assaulted countless players who just sat and took it, because if they fought back, their careers and livelihoods would be in jeopardy.

These people who use their position of power to treat subordinates in such a detrimental way need to get help. If they do, then I have no problem with them trying to coach again.

That's my biggest hope in all this negative behavior coming to light - the offenders (and receivers, if they haven't already) get legitimate help.

The Twitter mob and media are funny. Bill Peters gets removed from coaching a hockey team for being a racist, but the PM of a country doesn't get removed.

BTW, I thought I loved Penner for the big goals he scored in 2012, but I love him even more on Twitter.

To be fair, Trudeau's superiors (his party and the voters) do have the ability to remove him, but the tenor of the two incidents (Peters vs Trudeau) is notably different - it's not apples to apples.

Devils fire John Hynes, which isn't too surprising after the team no showed the last two games. I have zero confidence in Alain Nasreddine but he might just be a placeholder while they line up somebody else.

So many people pegged the Devils to be a playoff team with the additions of P.K. Subban, Wayne Simmonds, Nikita Gusev, #1 pick Jack Hughes, an improved Nico Hischier, and they lay an egg and have no stability in net.

Shero has to be on the hot seat as well, and there’s no way Taylor Hall is going to stick around to go through yet another hapless team like he did in Edmonton.

Hall is onto his 8th coach in his 10th season. if he gets traded it will be 9th in 10. eeks

That is quite the track record. Curious to see how he does with a competent team where he’s not relied upon to be the sole source of offense. I want to see him with the Avs.

He would be deadly with the Avs.

If he signs somewhere for over $10M a year next year he will be relied upon no matter where he goes at that cap hit.

I would think he is. The team is likely going to look different. Almost no chance Hall comes back, unless the Devils get stupid with the money. Is Vatanen coming back? Greene is 37. Shero took Subban's entire contract in a total salary dump by Nashville, and right now the Devils are worse than they finished last year in points%. That's with Hall playing every game so far. Can't take on $26m and get worse. Not getting easier on the schedule for the Devils any time soon either.

They've wasted Hischier's ELC years. They've used 1/3 of the ELC years for Hughes. They never really benefited from getting Schneider, even when he was good and healthy. The one year they made the playoffs, he only played in half the games, and had worse numbers than Keith Kinkaid. If Kinkaid didn't play as much as he did that year, they may not have made the playoffs. They're a bit of a mess at the moment.

Well, i'm looking forward to your twitter rant on the current POTUS, Herby.... ;)

True, but this could easily lead to Babcock being blackballed and Crawford will probably be let go. The latter is an easy decision in light of the #hewasmean movement going on right now: Crawford is an easy blood sacrifice.

While it is true nobody is getting arrested, livelihoods and reputations are being ruined. Same thing with #metoo: not a ton of arrests there because a lot of it wasn't offenses that would put you in jail.

If one wants to say "it has only been one guy so far and let's wait and see" that's fine but, to me, that is willfull blindness. This is a snowball rolling down a mountain and the social media white knight mob can never be trusted to be rational, measured or truthful.

The post-Tavares Islanders right now give me a little bit of hope that a team can have a turnaround with a bit more structure. Aside from the goaltending, the D was constructed like a video game roster. Almost the entire season, one of the RHD has been playing on the left to unsexy results.

Obviously things are a bit of a mess right now, I don't think anybody's disputing that. But they'll still have a boat load of cap space in the offseason and they'll finally be able to move on from Greene/Schneider.

Not sure if I'd call it wasting Hischier's ELC years. The Kings didn't make the playoffs during Kopitar's ELC and the franchise seemed to do okay with Kopitar on his second contract. Obviously you'd like to capitalize when those guys are cheap, but nobody was touting Hischier as an instant #1 center.

It's the tough thing with Hall. For as good as he can be, he's been frustrating to watch over the last four years. Perhaps he'll thrive in a situation where he's not the main cog. But it's looking like the Devils will have been worse in three of the four seasons than they were before acquiring Hall.
