Kings players must not be worth anything and/or ownership isn't willing to eat some salary. I figured they would have moved some dead weight by now...

Dead weight sounds very tempting.

How long have we been hearing that they can't move the guys everyone wants to see moved? It's just as true in June as it was Feb. Don't hold your breath until the deadline. That's likely when dead rental weight can get dumped.

All this action going on and not a peep from us.

That's what the guys in charge have been saying lately. They're done investing in this team, and it's going to be a while before they can get rid of guys. It's going to be in stages, and the first stage is not now. Or the first stage was Muzzin, but now is not going to be anything. Too old, too much term, not productive enough. Those are not players other teams want.

Sounds like Georges is piggybacking off rumors that have been out there for the last few weeks.

For all the huffing and puffing, I’m not going to be surprised if we see zero offer sheets.

Perry and Pavs on Dallas is weird and funny. That sucks for San Jose. When you get as close as they did, controversy and all, and your homegrown captain jumps ship for another team that has some similarities, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence for the SJ faithful.

The deals being talked about though for f***ing boat anchors. I am glad the Kings are out of this. $13 million a year for Panarin is ridiculous.

With Little Joe signing in Dallas... sounds like Donskoi and obviously Nyquist are heading out as well. That's a bit of a turn over for sure.

Hopefully the Guppies get bent over on Meier and Lebanc contracts. Wish other GMs would grow a pair and offer sheet either.

what a relief we suck and have no reason to sign anyone. Is it just me or is this years rumored free agent signings pretty horrid across the board in AAV and term?

Duchene looks like a great contract, 8.5 CH% for a guy that scored 30+ goals and had 70 points last season is pretty f***ing good. Pavelski also seems like a good deal, the term is nice. Other than that, I'd have to agree with you, that potential Panarin deal scares me.

not to be outdone by Tallon losing his mind...Kekalainen

Reported offers for Panarin are getting beyond ridiculous.

Going to the NYI for $12M, double what any other player on the team makes.

Going back to Columbus for $13M, way more than double what any player on that team makes.

Agents are just looking for the bigger fool.

and bob.... i think duchene is actually a good one. Pavelski. eh... its not bad but i have anti sharks bias and just assume all players from that organization will never win, so whats the point.

Bobrovsky is going to be 31 when the season starts. Are the Panthers really going to give him 7 years at 10M per? That's nuts.

I wouldn't give ANY goaltender that contract regardless of age, but the fact that he's 31 makes it even worse.

Sharks fans are in tears.

Pavelski will have a better shot at wining in Dallas. He won't have to be THE guy and will get to play along some pretty damn good forwards and a young defense.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have reportedly offered pending UFA Artemi Panarin eight years at approximately $12 million per season.

The Blue Jackets currently have the third most cap space in the league and are hoping not to lose the dynamic Russian forward. The three remaining teams in the Panarin sweepstakes appear to be Columbus, Florida and the New York Islanders. Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports is reporting that he has heard Panarin has received offers of approximately $13 million per season.

Dallas is a weird team.

I remember when the signed Jagr. That was weird too.

I still think Kovalchuk would be a good fit over there. Radulov is his buddy.

Bobrovsky when his game is on is one of the best goalies in the league, but he's not consistent enough to be getting 9.5-10 million until he's 38.

no goalie is. that is a terrible waste of cap. better to use that money between two solid defenders imo, then a goalie.
