Right now, SJ's Power Play looks lethal. If they can carry that over to the STL series (projecting ahead of course)... Should be a good series.

Yes, but as we have learned, the further you go into the playoffs, the more the whistles get put away. I think STL has been a better 5on5 team, but I'm just using the eye test here. Some stats guys might prove me wrong.

I like Boucher but I'm still disappointed the Sens didn't get Boudreau. ****ing Melnyk might be the only current owner who can give Aquaman a run for his money in the race to the worst ownership title. I think Melnyk takes it actually as he is both cheap and meddlesome while Aqua is just meddlesome.

To an extent, but in a given series, 1-2 games with more penalties happen, and those can turn a series. Remember how San Jose went out in the conference finals? The Canucks got some powerplays and feasted on the Sharks.

Financially he's great but he meddles far too much in hockey ops decisions. Also, he hired Linden as President of Hockey Ops which was a terrible decision.

I totally blame Aquilini for not allowing a rebuild, and he should **** off with interfering in trades, but I admit I do like the fact that he doesn't really tolerate **** for long, I'd certainly rather him than a guy like Katz who is too passive, or a cheap ass like Melnyk.

They have missed summer good opportunities, could have had 4 in the 3rd. They have just been a little slow in getting the shot of at times.

Aquilini's meddling is HARDLY a problem compared to the problems of a cheap owner.....or even more...a psychotic owner like Melnyk. How about an owner that couldn't care less and only sees the team as an investment? Those are fun. I have a buddy on the Rangers board who said their owner wouldn't know who Ryan McDonagh was if he was standing next to him, while McDonagh wore his own jersey. Hell Arizona just put A 26 YEAR OLD in charge. You guys need to think bigger picture than an owner that has a say in hockey ops. Thats farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from the worst it could be.

Granted, but "financially he's great" is kind of like, really, really important.

HARDLY a problem? Luongos contract, Tortorella, not allowing Swedish aquisitions, demanding the team change from skill to a Bruins team. And that's only the ones we know of.

Ultimately it's his team and that's fine. But he's a horrible owner. Sure he's paying the bills while increasing the ticket prices year after year only to have to now re adjust them because they can't even give tickets away.
there's also the floated rumor of the csnucks being for sale but not the arena and it's clear how much he cares.
I'd be glad if he lost a ton of cash the next few seasons
