The Knights are out Avs'ing the Avs in the first period. 15 shots to 3. Avs playing like the Kings when they were playing each other.
 
Are you frustrated, Vegas?

The avs fans are nowhere near as bad, They at least have won something, unlike Vegas who thump their chest like they won it multiple times.
 
Vegas coming on strong they've been outplaying the Aves since the start of the second period in the last game. Never know.

They're similar to our teams in that they'll get better as a series goes along, don't want to be over dramatic but I really feel like game 4 is a must win for the Avs.

Brown's hit was worse than Scheifle's in many ways, the biggest difference was that Brown wasn't going quite as fast and that the outcome was drastically different. I've actually thought of this many times since it happened, because I think if that happened now it's a penalty for sure. And if Sedin got injured and missed time, it would be a suspension. It checks all the boxes. Player in a vulnerable position where he can't see the other guy coming, player within a few feet of the boards with numbers visible, Brown didn't deviate from his pathway directly to the player, he didn't attempt to play the puck in any way. It pretty much hits every single part of the DOPS explanation of why Scheifle was suspended.

There is just a huge grey area with these kinds of things and there is always going to be arguments, especially with emotions and eye-test variations between people. I can see the Scheifle hit going either way, but that Brown hit was just as brutal and I'm a Kings fan. I couldn't care less about WPG or MTL or either player involved, so I don't have a dog in that race.

I love this obsession over the Scheifele charging call and punishment.Folks stop trying to justify Scheifele bonehead charging play by trying to compare it to others.Hate the rules and applaud the efforts trying to keep players safe when DOPS do their job..Browns hit wasn't the same by any means and was legal.I think this is more about your support for the Jets then about the dangerous play done by Scheifele.Now Habs are up 2-0 and Scheifele dumb and selfish play will probably cost the Jets the series.Now that I've seen the Jets players comments when the hit happened,I hope Habs bury them in the playoffs. GO HABS for this round....

No one is obsessing about anything, or trying to justify anything, it's pointing out inconsistencies.

Don't take it personally. I don't like the Jets, nor the Habs - if anything, I like Montreal more and hope they win the series. You seem really emotionally invested in this so I will leave it at that.

No old friend :laugh:, you got me confused with someone who is crying over the punishment of Scheifele and asking me why I think it's a charge and trying to bring up other hits and complaining DOPS is ruining the game on this call..I was surprised DOPS got this right...

Is that really the example to use in that joke? Carolina/Winnipeg, ok, nobody would care. Boston/Montreal? The league would kill for that series.
 
Hope Carolina’s owner is taking note that being a cheapskate can work up to a point, and that is goaltending. Brutal goals given up by Mrazek.
