Lehtera's cap hit is $4.7m? HOW???

Man, maybe this was another brilliant move by Dean Lombardi involving drugs and removing big cap hits.

He was one of those big Euro gets. I remember Blues fans, at least some anyway, being excited that they signed him. Got him on a 2 year contract in 2014, put up 44 points in his first year, and the Blues immediately signed him to an extension after that first year. Sometimes it pays to have even a hint of talent.

He played on a line with Schwartz and Tarasenko that first year and all three of them had a real good stretch.

Shore is so in demand that he’s been contemplating lucrative offers since July.

Maybe it will be a Lebron James type "Decision" thing. They can have Pierre interview him at his former highschool.

King, Shore and Andreoff are all not on NHL rosters, and they all played a significant amount of games for the Kings during the post-Cup dark years. That tells you about the talent level on those teams.

To be fair, King was definitely a cut above Shore and Andreoff - he actually contributed for a few years.

The best Whaler's jersey was the one with the "whale" and ers after it. I loved that team when they had the Howe's and Pete Peters in net. Green jerseys don't sell well is what they say but I still own a couple of them.

I did some searching. Even if Lehtera is not involved in the drug angle and was only loaning a friend money (at a high interest rate)... Money laundering is also a grounds to give him an entry ban or yank his work visa.

(2bbbMONEY LAUNDERING- Any alien--
(i) who a consular officer or the Attorney General knows, or has reason to believe, has engaged, is engaging, or seeks to enter the United States to engage, in an offense which is described in section 1956 or 1957 of title 18, United States Code (relating to laundering of monetary instruments); or
(ii) who a consular officer or the Attorney General knows is, or has been, a knowing aider, abettor, assister, conspirator, or colluder with others in an offense which is described in such section; is inadmissible.

If anyone is bored, here is some bed time reading about how easily US jurisdiction gets involved. Emails sent from the US or funds originating in a US bank is enough. Remember hockey players get paid in US dollars.

A lot has changed since Bob Probert's day. 9/11 and the drug war changed everything.

Preseason or not, Martin Jones sure loves giving up goals to Vegas. 5 more tonight. Vegas scored 3 shorty's with Burns on the ice for all 3.
