What happened to Canadian hospitality?
Aside from Anderson, Turris, and Intense Ryan, I can't name another player off the Sens other than Karlsson. That team is a bunch of nobodies without him. The slobbering on this site is a bit grating, but the guy is a special talent, even if he leaves a bit to be desired in his own end.
Oh and throw in Hoffman because he reminds me of Tool's best song...
The Kings got pretty fortunate with Eastern opponents IMO. I think we were significantly better than both NJ and NYR.
The Kings did struggle a bit vs highly skilled teams, would have been interesting had we played a Caps or Pens type team.
Kings in 2012 were unstoppable. I could have cared a less who they played, there was no stopping them.
After the Kings beat Chicago in 2014, I felt the same way. The Rangers didn't worry me one bit and I expected the Kings to dispatch them easily. I didn't feel it was close. Should have been a 5 game series if the Rags weren't bailed out by a pile of snow in the waning seconds of that game. The Kings were buzzing at the end of that game and if they got that goal, they would have won it in OT. Carter and Pearson were flying. The Rags were hanging on by a thread. But it's all good, they got to hoist it in LA again.
I'm not impressed with the Ducks....yet. In the past 5 years that they've won the division, here is their impressive resume of playoff round wins:
Dallas
Winnipeg
Calgary (x2)
Wake me when they beat a significant opponent.

General Manager Tim Murray and Head Coach Dan Bylsma have been relieved of their duties.
Wow, add up the clues. This somes on the heels of Eichel not being happy (with how he was used) and rumor about him not signing there. Sabres, Eichel and agent denied it today (not that they had a choice) but you have to think that this came from his exit interview.
Team with good talent, good young talent and strong farm system.
Team on the rise
Wonder if Lombardi gets called for an interview

Earlier in one of these threads I mentioned Buffalo would be a perfect fit for Dean.
If he gets the job, would he trade for D. Brown?
If he gets the job, would he trade for D. Brown?
Murray has this boss appeal to many, for what? Basically selling off half his roster at the deadline in an effort to get McDavid and then flopping? I've never understood the infatuation with this guy and to a lesser extent the Sabres. It's all an illusion like draft picks, especially on this site.
If he gets the job, would he trade for D. Brown?
Maybe Lombardi doesn't want the stress of it right now?

Eichel: "First, when you see that people are writing these things and saying that you said these things, my first thought is where are they getting this information? If it’s not coming out of my mouth and I didn’t verbally say it to you or anybody, then where are you getting this information? Second of all, why are you writing it and trying to back yourself up on it?
<snip>
Just hearing these things that people are writing after I have a meeting with Tim and a meeting with Dan, I thought both of them went well. None of anything that I’ve read so far has been accurate of what was said in those meetings with them. It’s a bit frustrating and a bit disheartening because I thought things were heading in the right direction leaving Buffalo. As much as we didn’t have a great year, you’ve got to just look forward to the future. Speaking to Tim and speaking to the Pegulas, just expecting big things for next year. It’s just frustrating to still be dealing with this more than anything."
<snip>
"I want to be here for a long time. That’s the way I look at it. I don’t want to go anywhere else. I don’t want anybody to think that I want to be somewhere else. I want to be here, and I want to help this team win in any way that I can do that. I just want all the people there to know that.
"I definitely am not the type of guy to point the finger and blame other people. I said in my exit interview and I’ll say it again, it’s self-reflection. You’ve got to look yourself in the mirror before you can call out other guys. I said it all year, if you want to be a leader and be vocal, you’ve got to play well yourself. For me, I don’t think I was good enough this year, so I need to be better. The onus is on me."
Who would they have faced if they didn't win...I mean weren't gifted the division?
Jack Eichel and his agent denied it pretty strenuously earlier this week.
Buffalo is crazy if they don't pick up Lombardi.
Maybe Lombardi doesn't want the stress of it right now?
