Almost as if Sutter is like the vast majority of coaches. If not all of them at the pro level. They'll usually play rookies when either injuries happen, or, the roster is set up by the GM to be based heavily on young guys, or, space on the roster is open for a specific young player, like when McDavid comes along or something like that.

Find a team where rookies rule the day because coaches just love them.

I am agreeing with you.

Someone did a bunch of concept art for all 30 NHL teams with a Vegas theme. This is the Kings:

Kings will be in big trouble if they expect an easy game tomorrow. Isles will have played only 1 game since last friday and they look desperate tonight.

Contract status plays a part in who is on the team almost as many times as talent. There are a bunch of vets playing in Ontario already, because of the lack of young players with all the trades in recent years. Teams in the AHL need a certain number of young guys in the lineup each game. It's not just a dumping ground for bad players or contracts, it's primarily about development.

If Clifford/Nolan/King are that bad, no other team is going to want them in a trade, and the Kings specifically have a more difficult time than some other teams might have in sending them to the minors, and calling up multiple prospects at the same time.

Now I'm not saying we need to bring up these kids ASAP but a decision needs to be made about how brutal Nolan, King, Clifford have been playing...oh and Purcell of course! Ugh.... Kempe while not close to a finished product would give this team much needed speed and even more physicality and toughness.

go to your local Dave n Buster's for wed night 1/2 price video games and watch the game on the HUuuuuge screens. it's a win / win / maybe even no loss....?

It's the greatest ,huuuuuugest, most magnificent Dave n Buster's ever seen. I know many, many, people who are good ,close friends with Dave n Buster and they'll back me up when I say it's the greatest.:D

What decision? They're going to have 15 forwards on the roster when Kopitar, Gaborik, and Andreoff get back, unless more guys get hurt, and that's without any of the young Ontario guys.

No GM wants to trade for brutal players, so the best you'll get is either Nolan and his full cap hit going down to Ontario, with nobody else coming up, or Purcell going to Ontario, with a portion of his cap hit remaining, and nobody else coming up. King still plays on the PK, and Clifford isn't going anywhere either.

Eventually, it's gunna be shortened to the "Vegas Knights", just 'cuz that's 90000000% better sounding. Sometimes marketing people have raisins for brains.....

Yeah, it's like the Ducks. Nobody called them the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Few called them the Mighty Ducks. In these internet days, nobody is going to type out Golden Knights, time after time after time. It's going to be Knights. It's going to be Vegas. People usually type LA for Los Angeles, SJ for San Jose. Vegas is Vegas.

Yeah , he was just going on and on about that pad . I thought Berniers momentum carried him over with the puck as Hickey was shooting.

Hickey pushed his pad. It's pretty clear. They blew the call. It happens. The Kings lucked out when Williams pushed the Sharks goalie with his stick in Game 6 in 2014(which was evened out by Clowe I suppose). The Ducks will eventually get a call in their favor too. Hickey did push the pad though.

Actually it wasn't clear. You're just assuming he's pushing the pad. The Video just shows his stick near the pad. There was no jabbing motion. In fact you can't even tell when the puck left his stick.

It was the right call all the way.

they're already being referred to as the knights in reports and on radio. They cannot officially just be called the knights though do to copywrite laws with the London Knights.
