He is the best player so far.

No one ever said the guy sucked.

Ehhhh, pretty close to it on these boards. I get it, he and Doughty are 1A-1B for NHL defenseman but some of the opinions about Karlsson were pretty hilarious.

Right now he's the best defenseman in the league, just no one else that does what he does.

Exactly.

He's been rightly criticized heavily for his defense in the past and only the most extreme posters take him out of their top 3-5 year to year. Some posters just don't like hearing any criticism and take that as more than what it is.

But he's been phenomenal lately.

I thought most people acknowledged his supreme Elite talent, it's just he had moments that looked lazy and ugly.

Some of you may not like hearing this, but Karlsson might be the best player in these playoffs, and easily the best defenseman in the post season.

Lol was just thinking about this. I know how many of us feel about Karlsson but there is no denying how freakin good he's been these playoffs. He's an amazing talent. Oh and how sweet it is to see the Rangers get bounced again.

The talking heads on NBC just talked longer about Chris Neal than he had icetime tonight. H e played 4 shifts and a whopping 1:49 total. Why even dress him if he's basically just riding the pine.

This has rating classic written all over it. Seriously, how are you gonna sell this?

I've got three marketing ideas:

Two teams that won't win the Cup in the next 20 years?

Two middle of the road teams that probably won't make the playoffs or get a top three pick?

Hey, you're probably hanging on New Years anyway, why not watch this crappy match up?

No more godawful Grammy road trips!!!

It’s been 15 years since the Grammy Awards were set in New York City, and now the show is coming back to the Big Apple. The Recording Academy announced today that the 60th annual edition of the Grammys will take place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. MSG last hosted the event in 2003, after which it returned to Los Angeles where it’s been broadcast from the Staples Center.

"We played well every game, we played well enough to win." - Lundqvist

I HATE excuses like that. If you play well enough to win, you win. If you don't win, you didn't play well enough to win. Garbage.

Interesting tidbit:

Since Anaheim dropped "Mighty" from their nickname at the start of the 2006-07 season, they are 0-5 in Game 7s. They were 2-1 when they were the Mighty Ducks.

Well he's clearly the only player on the ice for the Senators according to the 5 threads about him on the main board. Apparently he is also now "King Karlsson". Good times.
