It sure sounds like she did it, but even if he knew I'm still good with him. If he breaks up with her great if not I get it. Sometimes crazy chicks are fun. Just cause I with someone doesn't mean I share their beliefs or morals.

If she did it and I think that's likely, I don't want him on the Kings. Why in the world would she go after Karlsson? Jealousy since he's the star guy on the team? What if she goes after Kopitar or Doughty? No way do I want that risk. Absolutely no way.

Maybe she is a religious nut who thinks you should not take anything while pregnant..I have no clue her motive.

I think if it were true that Karlsson's wife was taking drugs it would have come up when she was in the hospital. That can't be hidden and I imagine there are similar reporting requirements there as here when a hospital finds out a mom is on drugs.

Hoffman’s gf and Bryan Colangelo’s wife should get together.

Frank Seravalli has an article/list on TSN with the Free Agents listed, with their playoff performance as a factor.

Perron's poor showing might be the reason he'll be on his 6th team in 5 seasons (also has only 4 goals in 57 playoff games)

Stasny on the other hand , played well, and also potted 15 pts in 17 games shooting him up to number 4.

I'd probably rank Michal Kempny higher as well. Did a nice job coming over from the Hawks at the deadline. Might be good value for someone looking for a nice depth piece on the back end.

At this point in his career, Stasny would make a good 3rd line center. Even with the expected decline in his production he should still be able to pot 40+ points for years, while being reliable defensively and good at faceoffs.

Problem is the price.

Yes, Stastny should be looking at a pay cut in his next contract.

I think Stastny is one of the softest dudes in the league. Good playmaker. Just has always been overpaid and I don't think now will be any different. The guy gets run over in all of his matchups which is why he couldn't hack it as a 1c/2c.

Now if we could get him for cheap as a 3C, I"d be all over that, but someone will overpay for production and watch him get pushed around for years.

Regarding the Ottawa dumpster fire, a new interesting story just popped up. A possible burner account of someone within the organization (quite possibly at the behest of Melnyk)...

Potentially very similar to what happened with Colangelo in Philadelphia.

Coworker who sits 20 feet from me is Mike Sislo's cousin. He's probably gonna be bummed that he won't be in the same division as the Gulls next year. He'd get free tickets whenever Tucson was in town.

I also blame Sislo for costing me a shot at $600. I was in Vegas sometime in February 2011. For fun, I took a look at the college hockey odds. I saw that Miami of Ohio was 30-1 while teams like Michigan, Notre Dame, and BU were 12-1. From what I knew of college hockey, Miami was on par with Michigan/Notre Dame when they used to be in the same conference.

I put down $20 on Miami. A couple friends did as well. In a somewhat comical moment, a pit boss came over and initially didn't take my last buddy's bet; It was almost like he was trying to figure out if we had some inside knowledge or something.

Miami promptly went on a 9-0-1 tear to finish the season and was a #1 seed in one of the Frozen Four regionals. Unfortunately for them, it was the regional in New Hampshire and their first round opponent was the University of New Hampshire.

It was a tight game, but UNH edged out Miami. Years later when my coworker mentioned his cousin was Sislo, I remembered his short time on the Devils and that he was on that UNH team. I looked up the boxscore and sure enough he had the game winning goal in that game. [/coolstorybro]

We traded 2 2nds for Regehr, Buffalo gave them back along with McNabb for Fasching and Deslaurier. In hindsight, Lombardi did pretty well on that series of moves.

Last hockey game of the season just about to wrap up as the Toronto Marlies lead the Texas Stars 6-1 in Game 7 of the Calder Cup Final.

Marlies have Vinny LoVerde on their team.

Kyle Dubas is giddy like a school girl.

I wonder if they’ll have a ticker tape parade down Yonge St.

I can’t believe I’m watching this game. Jeebus.

That'll be LoVerde's second Calder Cup after winning it with Manchester in 2014-15.

And that might be the closest Toronto will get to see a hockey team win a championship there.

Would not be surprised to see Marlies coach head to the Islanders to be their new HC.

Heard Scott Stevens could be an assistant as well. Maybe Jacques Lemaire too.

Edit: Richard Clune is also a member of the Marlies.
