Watching our old buddy Jamie Kompon celebrate the jets 4th goal and a likely game 7 victory.

In reflection, was all the hate warranted?
It is funny how he was constantly bashed when he was here, but he's had success everywhere he's gone.

Coaching is about a 'fit' just like players are. I remember hearing how good he was with video and teaching and how he had a great personality, but the results spoke for themselves here, he was in charge of a part of the team that was godawful. Kings PP was a problem with him in that role. Frankly, even Chicago's PP sucked his first year there, and they had all the firepower in the world. At least they were 10th ranked before he left.

Jamie Kompon? Shit man...Al Murray says "f*** HF Kings as I continue to stock everyone's favorite drafting team and help make Yzerman look like a genius."

Thank ****, rat hockey is dead this year.

All the diving all game by Nashville so shameful, yet damn near impossible for the Jets to get on the PP because they actually stayed on their skates while the yellow jerseys were TRYING to take penalties.

Justice served in the end, **** off Nashville, glad to see you burn. And Johansen suuuucks

Yeah, that Subban boarding call summed it up. What a f***ing sell job!

What? Anaheim IS a home game!

Well, we can proudly say that about our presence in Anaheim. But we can easily be on the wrong side of away fan invasion. What happens when popular teams like the Blackhawks, Red Wings, and Canadian teams visit Staples? Our place is infested with away fans. That shit is frustrating to see. What's worse is that our fan base can't do the same on the road unless it was Anaheim. There's supposed to be a deafening silence when they road team scores on us, not loud fans cheering.

Also, I hate the Ducks but I will always respect their home arena if I'm at the game. It's their place and I'm not entitled to acting like a douchebag who thinks it's our arena.

It's stupid no matter what, but even stupider considering it's the Caps, it's not like their fanbase is known to be large or to travel well.

I could maybe see it a little bit more if it were the Leafs or Wings, but come on.

I was at the game against the Caps this season and there were were at least 5 Caps fans in every section. They can be invasive, too.

Is wearing a kings jersey and cheering for the kings douchey?

I always have a good time there, some fans always suck on both sides but I love the smack talk in the stands. Fort me it's always in good humor but I've seen it get out of hand at both arenas.

Winnipeg has some slight issues defensively, but 1-18 this might be the most skilled roster since the 2010 Hawks. Our Kings had a pretty good year this season, Winnipeg has 4-5 wingers who are better than our best winger and they have Scheifele, Stastny and Little as top 3 C's. A complete embarrassment of riches.

And I wonder if there will be even more backlash on NHL seeding if Winnipeg cruises to the Cup in two short series (which I think is a strong possibility).

That's not abnormal.

I've seen the Kings play all over the midwest and there are always plenty of Kings fans in every building, the same is true of almost any team in the league, especially if the team is good at the time.

No, I didn't mean it that way. I meant fans who act like they would if they were watching the game at their home arena. If I see Sharks fans chanting Beat LA at Staples, man oh man, I'd wish they'd get beaten the f*** up.

It’s the beginning of the end for Rinne.

Getting Turris didn’t work out so well nor did giving up a 1st for Hartman.

No 2nd round pick either. Didn't get much out of Josi. Turris also gets a raise starting next year. Going to have to figure out their goaltending long term. They have to pay Ellis after next season.

They've gone backwards as a team. Now they have to start all over again in October.

What difference would it make? Either way they're breezing through 3 of 4 series.

As long as time zones are still the primary issue, they'll keep doing what they're doing. Different seeding, and Winnipeg goes to SJ and Vegas in the 1st and 2nd round. Crossing multiple time zones for a month. That's what teams, including Winnipeg themselves, want to avoid. They weren't thrilled being forced into the old Smythe division when the Rockies moved to NJ. Toronto got out of the West as soon as they could once it went to a conference format. Detroit and Columbus followed as soon as they could if they were still going to be linked to the west coast. It matters.

Vegas is going to run into a Winnipeg team which is just as deep, but more talented. Should be an interesting series.

Tampa should be able to dispatch the Caps. A Winnipeg vs Tampa final would be great hockey.

Vegas’s big chance here is goaltending. If Fleury steals a game or two, Vegas can win.

It’s going to be an interesting series. I knew Vegas would handle SJ, but Winnipeg is another animal.

It will be pretty funny if Stastny goes beastmode against Vegas

He's been a Jeff Carter like addition for the Jets, scoring 14 points in 12 playoff games thus far. Offensively, the Jets are probably the deepest team along with Tampa Bay, and it would be fun seeing these two offensive juggernauts facing off in the Stanley Cup Final.

Winnipeg would also be the first Canadian team to make the Stanley Cup Final since the Canucks in 2011.

In the post-cap era, the only Canadian teams to make it to the Final have been the Oilers in 2006, who pushed the Hurricanes to Game 7, the Senators in 2007, who put on an embarrassing performance against the Ducks and lost out in 5, and the Canucks in 2011, who lost at home in Game 7 against the Bruins, and their fans proceeded to burn down the city as a result.

Visting team's fans can be annoying and, sometimes, words can be exchanged if they are being antagonizing and not in a way that is "all in good fun". There are always visiting fans in my section as the entire row in front of me is owned by a broker but you just deal with it.

This is America, baby. Every single ticket is available to be purchased by those who choose to do so. LA is a city full of transplants so there is almost always going to be visiting teams fans. Deal with it.

None of it matters as long as the Kings win. When they do, you get to stand over them and give them the hard clap and scream right behind their ears:

Or laugh at them when Ehrhoff scores a goal:

I love it when fans of the visiting team leave the arena disappointed. I won't forget seeing Wings fans in tears after the Kings beat them in 2001. That was glorious.

And I was in San Jose for Luc Robitaille's last game (which the Kings won), and I wasn't being an obnoxious ass and nobody gave me any shit. It was also pretty classy to see the Sharks pay tribute to Luc with a video feature during a stoppage, and at the end of the game Joe Thornton led a lineup of players to shake Luc's hand.

Sometimes you go to a game and strike up a cordial conversation with an opposing teams fan. It can make for some interesting talk about where they're from, how they got into hockey ect.

In the 2012 cup finals I sat next to a Devils fan. She flew in from Jersey that day just for the game.
