Scoreboard watching is too painful right now. Kings need to take care of their own business.

No point in scoreboard watching today. I don't see how Colorado beats St. Louis today. We will be 1 point out of a playoff spot after today. Our best bet is on Tuesday when St. Louis plays Minnesota.

LOL Calgary already up 4-0.

I'm not sure how we want to make the playoffs.

They have mentally checked out. If the Blues by some miracle tank their remaining games and the Kings get in, it will not be pretty. I don't want to see them get ***** slapped by the best in the west in the PO. I rather they don't make it.

This is just like 2015 when they missed the playoffs, how are you losing to teams that have no business beating you? You are in control of your own destiny and you give it away? This has absolutely no resemblance to the 2014 teams that played their best hockey when with their backs against the wall. It just shows how obvious it is that all the true leaders of the teams from 2012 - 2014 are no longer here.

Winning games? The Kings are currently 21st in points percentage, and look disinterested most of the time. Not sure anyone should worry about what other teams are doing until the Kings show they care.

You never know in the playoffs, but I could just see this team getting curb stomped again in the post season. There's a lack of fire in their play, almost like they're burned out or something.

See the last game of the season at home against the Jets last year too. Not that Williams helped with his 3 goals in 30 games at the end of the 14-15 season either.

They'll never top the story of the 2014 playoffs, so I guess why even bother trying.

On a positive note, the only other teams in the WC with worse records than the Kings in the last 10 games is VAN and COL.

Turn out the lights, the party's over. The Canucks put the final nail in the coffin for the playoffs last night. By the time the Kings play on Thursday, they'll probably be 3 or 4 points out of a playoff spot.
I'm going the the last home game against the Hawks and Bobs last game calling the action.
Then its on the Vegas Knights train. Thanks Kings for the memories, from the going to the Forum as a kid to watch Kings and Flyers brawl it out in the '70's to being there in 2012 to watch the boys raise the Cup for the 1st time. Its been a good run.:yo:

Bummer, but congrats on the new home team!

Thanks, man. Best part is, i'll save a few bucks on travel, and still watch Kings/Knights in LV, and still travel to Staples, but now as the enemy. Heh.

I feel like this happened a little bit when the Ducks came along too, but there were no Cups in our history then either. And look at how much we hate each other now ;)

Kings will never see a spot in the top 8 again after tonight....my prediction.

The cup is ours!???!

Nah, you're right this time. May be the worst thing that can happen to this team is the fool's gold of making the playoffs. Not making the playoffs may force the Kings to assess what needs to be done going forward.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Even as crappy as things are right now, I'd venture to guess a lot of us have been through a lot worse in all the years of following this team.

I don't get how someone who has followed the team for so long, through thick and thin, can just relinquish his allegiance and loyalty to one team and just start rooting for a team that has yet to exist.

Even us so called pessimists stick around, and we're all here because we still care. I guess that's the fun part about sports, to see how things develop. Don't get me wrong, nothing about this current product is fun to watch. They are downright boring, but I still want to see the team succeed and hope they figure out.

I'm an advocate for change and that may have to happen in order for this team to get back on the right track, but that guy above is the very definition of a bandwagon/fair weather fan.

If you were around in the 80s as a fan, and still stuck around in the awful post Gretzky era, how could this current team be any worse? Do you look back fondly at the Khristich era? Or when Fiset and Storr as the #1 starter was the topic of debate among Kings fans? I'd take the current team now over those sorry ass Kings teams that we had to suffer through.

We already look like a sorry ass team with the likes of Kopitar, Gaborik, Doughty, Quick, Carter, Pearson, Muzzin, Martinez, Toffoli, etc. Those aren't names to slouch at.

I hate to imagine how much worse its going to get. The full potential of the team isn't being realized anymore.
