Once Brendan Smith deal to NYR is finalized, much attention will turn to Kulikov. Sabres have gotten calls from multiple teams already.

I'll bet they have...

CAR also getting calls on 23-year-old defensemen Ryan Murphy, signed through next year. Imagine the preference would be young forward back.

Further to earlier post, once/if trade gets finalized, expectation is NYI will retain significant chunk of Halak's contract, may be max 50%

3 teams in the mix...

To be fair, for Russians, the west coast of the US is a looooong way from home. It's no surprise most of them are concentrated in the far eastern side of the NHL map. All things being equal, why come all the way out here?

Don't be ridiculous, I can see Russia from my house, here in SoCal.

Also there are lots of Russians in NY/NJ area. I am sure they would prefer to stay near their communities.

Yeah, Avatars will return after the deadline. If Shattenkirk is enough to bring the site down, it might get ugly tomorrow. lol

VAN return on Hansen to SJ is expected to be Nikolay Goldobin and a conditional fourth-round pick.

Still sizzling hot:

Forsberg pots 2 more goals tonight, 10 goals in his last 5 games. First player since Pavel Bure almost 15 years ago.

It would have come sooner if he hadn't been injured. He's been great.

Weal's a UFA this summer, right? Playing for a contract. I'm rooting for him.

The #habs have acquired Steve Ott.

Wings get a 6th round pick in 2018

Playing-wise, meh. OTOH, More leadership added to the Habs locker room. You can see they're changing the personality of the team.
