There are very few reasons I would be okay with Lombardi acquiring a goalie:
1) if it's to dump a bad contract, like Gaborik for Miller swap.
2) if it's a package for something else the Kings need, like acquiring a good pick/prospect + the goalie.

Justin Faulk of Carolina reportedly on the block. Make sense for #Oilers?

Yes, he does, IMO. I've been reading that RNH is movable. And Canes have been trying to use Faulk as part of a package to get a top center, Avs still holding out for more. Maybe Canes should move on, RNH would be a good fit there. And Faulk would be a good fit for the Oilers, a good young D, and can QB a PP, 3 more yrs at 4.8M is good.
RNH is too good to be on the 3rd line, so moving him has been on the Oilers radar.
with the young talent on wing in CArolina, You put RNH on that top line with Aho (who I think is stud in the making) and Lindholm, and he'd thrive.

We have acquired Byron Froese and a 2017 second-round pick from the @mapleleafs in exchange for Brian Boyle.
Good pickup for the Leafs, he's the center depth they needed, great veteran presence in a very young locker room with the playoffs approaching..
and Burrows to Ottawa

That's why the Kings can't win games.
Hopefully the Blues trading Shattenkirk sends them out of playoff contention.
Kind of like the deal for Ottawa. They have a handful of UFA's, and sounds like MacArthur and his $4.7m cap hit might be done one way or another. Burrows might find a new life with a more competitive Sens team than the Canucks. If he's around 10-15 goals and 30ish points, plus plays with any sort of an edge, $2.5m isn't that bad. That 2nd year on the contract might not help, but, they might have to take as many shots as they can while Karlsson is A) still there, and 2) relatively cheap.
I don't get why team re-sign guys before they play. Ever since Dan Cloutier I have been nervous
