Next question: With Johnson, Drouin, Palat hitting RFA, cap-crunched TB can't possibly keep all its core F's, can they? So who gets moved?
Palat, although I guess that depends on the players demands for term and $$. (Although Eklund hinted that in the Shattenkirk to Bolts trade that fell thru, Bishop and Droiun were the pieces going back) If they think Drouin won't sign with them, because o fthe ongoing issues with Cooper and that JD is 'very strong willed', they might package him with Bishop to unload Bishop.
Bolts in CAP Hell, 9 expiring contracts and no $$. They really have some hard contracts on the roster. Callahan's turning 32 and has 3 yrs left at 5.8 and another surgery. Fippula 2 yrs at 5M.
MOving Bishop's contract will help but , another piece(s) have to go.
Palat 's a pretty good LW and if he is the odd man out, maybe they should move him next week, as they aren't (i don't thnk) a playoff team.
Tough call.
