If you have Kodi running, I suggest installing the Phoenix add-on. Their NHL section has tons of highlights.

It was pretty much that or nothing. It's in the rulebook that an intentional attempt to hit a ref is 20 games.

i thought there were tiers. The lower tier was 10 games and the next was 20.
if this is correct I imagine the league wanted to give him more than 10, so had to do 20. I am guessing Wideman will appeal and it will be around 15 games.

Any idea on how to download nhl.tv to kodi? Game Center worked fine on my Amazon Fire box running Kodi, but can't find a nhl.tv app...

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I can't imagine how anyone misses the old nhl.com. That site was stuck in 2001.

The new one is mobile site though. I hate mobile sites. They are ugly and it's hard to use. Not too mention click on like anything and it's new tabs, it's just annoying to navigate.

Also implementing a software overhaul mid-season is just plain dumb. There is problems because of course there was. That's why you'd do it in off-season when you can fix it when less people care.

I don't buy his story, it is a blatant cross check on the ref. Even in fights most guys try not to hit the ref and they are getting hit in the head with punches, this was totally blatant.

I just don't think he is stupid enough to intentionally hit an official. That said if you rear end someone intent does not matter, if you high stick someone intent does not matter. So basically intent does not matter here IMO

I'm surprised to hear you say it looks ugly. The old site was ass ugly. New site looks clean and uncluttered to me. I agree with you that it was a bit of an odd choice to flip it mid-season, but then if they did it in the offseason and opening night rolled around and it crashed under load, everyone would lose their minds even more. Can't really win.

I'm not defending the old site. And I understand why they went to a mobile site, everyone else is. But it makes life really annoying for people who use desktop/laptops. Just boxs everywhere and it's annoying to use. Everything opens into new tabs. Boxscores are hard to get to. etc. And yes ugly, looks like a blog.

Oh well.

The site looks much better. I'm just not so sure it functions better. But that may just be in the way I use the site compared to someone else.

Would the preseason not help determine if it could handle the load?

Yeah, they need to fix that.

Oh I don't think it functions better either. Not yet, and I barely use it.

Since when does the NHL televise preseason games? :)

Hey look , Brian Burke disagrees...

“However, unintentional and accidental contact does occur at times in our game. We will have no further comment on the matter at this time.”

He was basically looking directly at the guy in the black and white jersey, skated into him, then followed through with his stick and hands.

Then had the coherence and well being to not miss a single shift.

There is not much to say. If he REALLY didn't know whats going on. then the hit to his head was WAY harder then they let on and the entire team, their medical staff as well as the player needs to be put under HEAVY review. Because either they ignored an obvious major head injury/concussion, or that dude simply checked the **** out of that ref.

A former Kings fan (that posted here) that had his heart transplant to Ducks size has made an appearance in the trade boards - Byfuglien thread... Guess who and say "hello" to him.

surprised he got so many honestly

Abuse of officials minimum is 20 games. There is no way there are people that believe widemans made up story.
You can clearly see how he got mad and put his stick high and pushed the reff...
I know Widemans has a clean past and don't mind him but that was just plain wrong and he deserves a harsh penalty...
