not saying I think Lucic should be suspended or anything, but if (I know it's a big if) both are accidental and there is zero tolerance than both should be looked at no?

I am glad that the wideman thing took the attention away at the very least

It's not like what Lucic did doesn't happen from time to time on the ice. A Linesman gets in the way and gets hit. That has never been called to my knowledge. The actually consider this part of their job and the game at this point.

But this was after the play. And the fact he stayed in the game means he had enough sense to do so. If he didn't we need to start questioning the Flames as to why he wasn't send to the room and concussion protocol followed?

And I think that is what will be the biggest issue. Is he can't have it both ways. He's not sure of himself yet he stayed to play.

There have been plenty of articles written that have lined out the past with this as well and it's safe to assume he'll likely get at least 10 games for it. Accident or not it was not part of the play and therefore he's toast.

SPORTSNET 960 (via TODAY’S SLAPSHOT): Elliotte Friedman believes whatever decisions the Winnipeg Jets make with pending UFAs Dustin Byfgulien and Andrew Ladd will impact this year’s trade market the most. He believes they’re making a real effort to re-sign Byfuglien, but the cost of doing so could lead to Jacob Trouba or Tyler Myers being moved to free up cap space. Trouba’s asking price was rumored to be eight years at $7 million per season.

Okay, I hope this isn't the start of a disturbing trend, that coming off a rookie contract, you assume you are entitled to leap to 7M per.

How sick are some of these man caves ? http://www2.tsn.ca/bardown/Story.asp...sick&id=571884

Those mancaves are amazing.

And I don't blame Trouba one bit for starting high, probably trying to land somewhere around what the other d-men coming off ELCs were getting (4-5).

My basement isn't painted in LA colours but I have an impressive collection of kings crap.
More auto framed 8x10 pics than i can name off the top of my head (I have a whole wall of Luc in every kings jersey he has worn), I have a lot of 2012 kings cup framed things, 2002 team Canada, and over 20 kings jerseys (though only 1 is signed).
My collection is missing 2014 cup swag as we had our first born around the same time so not a lot of extra cashflow. That summer my wife had purchased a plague of the 2014 cup champs with a vile of the ice from the final game in the frame from NHL.com. It was for my birthday. She purchased, NHL charged than two weeks later she got a refund with and e-mail saying this product does not ship to Canada (I think Canada is a big hockey market)...been bitter ever since.

God I hate when people bring up richards with no knowledge of the situation as a whole.

The narrative on this site is the Kings screwed him over, it's never going to change, ever.

I truly believe that every other team in the league would have bought him out after 2014, and the Kings chose not to, out of loyalty, and are pegged as the bad guys in this.

agree 100%.
The termination only benefited whatever team (oilers and flames reported) was going to acquire him to buy him out.

I'm more certain now that Richards got an entry ban or lost his work visa than when those threads were at their peak.

Richards' signed almost 7 months after his arrest. The time to get a waiver has been universally stated as a minimum of 6 months. The delay in signing him wasn't due to the trial since that's now in February.

The Caps according to espn even consulted immigration attorneys.

All signs point to Richards ran afoul of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

nothing against that sick play, but it sounds like an entire fan base is resting it's dreams on one guy.

Yeah, but in fairness that is only because the entire fan base is resting it's dreams on one guy...

And hell yes, Ducks beat Sharks in regulation. Way to go, whoever is further from us in the points!

**** the new NHL.com website. Can't watch highlights from the night before without signing up for some ******** ass ****. Good job you nickle and dime sellouts.

I thought they just got rid of them and was pissed. But you're saying they're there but you have to sign up for something?...for highlights? Now I'm even more pissed. All I want to do is watch highlights from the game. How hard is that, NHL?!

EDIT: well I found a game recap on the app. It's basically highlights. The Kings-Coyotes recap was ok, but some other games from tonight were less than stellar as far as highlights go.

I like the way things are going right now. It's looking more and more like the Ducks and Sharks will duke it out while the Kings get a wild card from the Central. Likely Nashville or Minnesota.
