I'm pretty disappointed in Quick. He literally looks like he tops the list of players that don't give a damn. I get the whole don't risk injury crap but come on. Fans want to see a competitive game. Not half ass tries.

It was obvious that he wasn't giving his all...until when it mattered. He set the tone and easily could have been MVP. Koudos to Scott though. Some skilled goals.

Doughty and Quick add more accomplishments to their list. And really, Doughty has won almost everything he could. Amazing.

Never go in against Jonathon Quick when money's on the line.

Mike Milburys greatest hits:

Traded Zdeno Chara, Bill Muckalt, & 1st Round Selection (Jason Spezza) for Alexei Yashin

Traded Olli Jokinen & Roberto Luongo for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha

Signed Alexei Yashin to 10 Year, $90M Contract

Traded Bryan McCabe, Todd Bertuzzi, & 3rd Round Selection (Jarko Ruutu) for Trevor Linden

I'm so sick of people trying to turn their disrespect into appreciation for John Scott. All those people who voted for Scott didn't want to see Scott happy, they thought they were funny by voting in a scrub. It's nice that Scott had fun but everyone who voted for him (for that reason) can go **** themselves.

Also, Milbury is an ass, but so are many of the Sportsnet people. He gave his opinion that Scott is not worthy of being an All star and I agree. Don't see why this should cause outrage, guy has 5 career goals.

I don't know what he said that was so incendiary so I'll have to abstain. I generally agree with the notion that he's a ***** BUT he's a nice counterbalance to the usually cordial panelists everywhere else in hockey (in the US, anyway--seems like some of the Sportsnet/CSN guys are jerks too ).

He said something along the lines of: "hope they don't give him too much ice time" and something about him being the odd one out.

He thought it was a joke that John Scott was in the ASG and he was right.

I agree. The people patting themselves on the back for "creating an awesome memory for John Scott" and "making the ASG watchable" voted him in to embarrass him.

The rationalization to vote an enforcer in because it worked out well is total bull****.

I know I sound like "that guy," but I am not okay with what the voters did. Results don't erase intent.

Ever good story needs a villain. I don't mind Milbury in general.

I wouldn't assume that all, or even most, of those who voted for John Scott intended to embarrass him. That's a pretty pessimistic view.
