Definitely unexpected, I thought that things might be bad enough that they'd be in the Matthews sweepstakes. Schneider and the D should keep the team competitive, but I didn't think the offense was that much better than the last few seasons.

Certainly still early in the season and they've been fortunate with scheduling to a degree. Tavares missed both of the games last week due to illness and the Blackhawks were missing Keith/Hossa and otherwise still seemed to be reeling from blowing the Blues game.
