I don't know why people have to declare a winner/loser in every trade. This was a wonderful trade for both teams.

The Kings got 2 good seasons from Richards, including one where he was a major contributor on a Stanley Cup winner.

The Flyers were able to get maximum value for a player two seasons before he fell off the cliff.

Don't understand why Flyer fans try and say they won the trade after MR career ended, just like I never understood why Kings fans used to troll Flyers fans by putting pictures of Richards/Carter with the Cup, as if they would have won one in Philly.

For some reason, I just find it funny as hell.

Holy hell, all other things aside, Calgary is a MINUS 24.

Oh, and the next Karlsson has arrived, say hello to John Klingberg. Though I'd actually say he's already better in the d-zone than Karlsson.

According to some on the boards he's already won the Norris. And to everyone not a Doughty fan Karlsson is just starting out slow and will pick it up and will be better in his own end. LMAO!

I still believe that Tortorella doesn't belong in the NHL, but Columbus is 6-4 in their last 10 games, and 6-5 under him.

So whatever he's doing is working, at least in the short-term.

We all know the award is won after the all-star break, just like last year. Subban and Karlsson were both very quite until after the break, then Ottawa was the media darling and Karlsson was putting up points.

drafted Klingberg in 3 different fantasy leagues, feeling pretty good about it

I might have to rethink my wish that the Kings pick up Mitchell at the deadline. In 17 games, his total shot attempts is at -117. Dear lord. His linemate Gudbranson is -112. Almost all of the other players are clustered between -26 and +4 :amazed:

Also, Ekblad is turning into a beast.

It's amazing. Isn't the goal to trades to go for the cup or set your team up to make a run in the future in the first place?
No, some seriously just dont get this concept. They compare player A with player B and that's about it. You cant discuss with these people.

We also had an awesome run in 2013, Mike's best playoffs IMO.

I can understand it when its a trade for a 4th line tweener but with Richards its another case. Though, his decline was surprsing. Normally we would still have him for years to come.

Man, what happened in the Hawks game? They were talking about supplemental discipline for Toews, Dano, and Backes...

If he wouldn't have been concussed by Bolland, that series could have turned out very different.
