Gotta love the Nucks losing a 3-0 lead.

Too bad Weise wasn't able to finish the job in the final seconds.

Then losing in OT!

No ROW for you!

The talking head on the NHL Network trying to play up the importance of Vancouver getting a point even though they're now 1-6 in OT , and how they add up in the end. Well just asks the Kings having a 3-15 ot record added up .

I heard that and was going to comment on it as well.

NHL "On The Fly" is so ****ed up this season. I don't know why people have to always **** up a good thing and turn it into ****, but the NHL Network has done a masterful job with "On The Fly."

TSN had a "Top 10 worse goals on Maple Leafs goalies"

Bernier had 3 of them total. That's just brutal.

The Gretzky one off a Leaf defender got #2. I remember watching that in Grade six. Wow.

Lists like that almost always lean towards more recent happenings. And therefore really aren't true. And as I've gotten older it seems to be even more the case. If it didn't happen last week it never happened.

Don't get why Rangers fans are so pressed. Like it's the same story each season; great regular season, goalie in God mode, "best stats against the West" (lol ok...cos regular season stats always matter in the PO)

Enough with the excuses, they have to prove it in the playoffs and win the damn cup, so people can over hype them even more.

They are running at a 105.4 PDO overall. That is about as unsustainable as it gets. That is around 3% higher than the highest yearly numbers going back 7 years.

Rangers... are they the Sharks or Blues of the East? I feel the Blues have been the slightly better team and maybe the Rangers are better then the Sharks. When it comes to power forwards who cry on the bench in the playoffs Nash/Thornton come to mind... All these difficult questions.

They are their own entity. They don't choke like the Sharks and don't get knocked out in an early round as a favorite like the Blues. As much as I hate the Rag$ they are a few steps above the Blues and Sharks.

Okay they havent won the cup in recent years. Though at least the Rangers have won some series and went to the Cup finals in 2014. I can live with it.

The Rangers and Canadiens have God-like goalies who have never won a Cup.

The Kings have a system goalie who is overrated and has won two Cups, beating one of those God-like goalies head-to-head in a Final.

The Flyers won the trade with the Kings, and have no Cups to show for it.

I think that sums up how they think in the East.

The problem for teams like Montreal and New York is that Quick actually does have a "god-mode" switch he turns on in the playoffs. Never once in the OT games against the Rangers did I feel that Lundqvist was better than Quick.

Now, one day Quick's switch will stop working, but I wouldn't bet on it being this year.

Yup. Lundqvist got totally outplayed in the finals and not one person could choke down their arrogance to admit it. The funny part was watching him channeling Mike Smith and showing up his defensemen by throwing his hands up in the air when he'd get scored on.

They do have a fantastic team and a lot of good individuals, and some fly under the radar. I think Stepan is actually underrated as hell. But for all the bluster we had to hear about their D core is the best in the league (lol thanks for the hookup Girardi), McDonagh being >>> Doughty (thanks for the bad coverage on all the OT goals), Lundqvist is >>> Quick AINEC (thanks for putting up a lower save percentage because that's all that matters amirite), and pick-a-forward is better and better depth than King X, there wasn't nearly enough humble pie eaten for the 5-game mouth slap. They've actually done pretty much everything BUT win a cup, so I can understand the confidence, but all the mockery of other teams' players who have actually accomplished things is brutal.

A lot of their fans are hypocrites. Look at the defense Hank has to play behind! He bails them out constantly! Then they mosey on down to the main board or polls board and always vote their defense top 3 in the league. But you're right, I never felt that Lundqvist was unbeatable in the playoffs in 2014. I knew he'd crack eventually, because he always does. Quick has 8 Stanley Cup Final victories and is 5-0...FIVE and ZERO in overtime Final games. If you had asked Ranger fans before the Final how many games they'd win knowing that 3 of the games would go into overtime, you know they would say at least 2 because of the Hank factor. 0 for 3 must taste pretty sour.

The Oilers will soon have nine healthy defensemen, and with lots of teams looking for defensemen, a trade or two could happen. Article cites that trade options for the Oilers could include Justin Schultz, Mark Fayne, Eric Gryba, Brandon Davidson and Nikita Nikitin.

Fayne and Gryba could be moved fairly easily. Schultz...most of the teams I've read about are hunting 'veteran top d' , and he has yet to establish himself as such.

I heard that and was going to comment on it as well.

At least this season they use more commentary from the actual broadcasts and not sports center style narration. Game commentary is much more enjoyable to watch. Of course they pick the commentary from the team that something good is about to happen to so there is no suspense...which sort of sucks.

I'd love to see more "extended highlight" packages with commentary from the broadcasts and show all notable plays not just goals but I guess that is asking too much. Something like the EPL match of the day program on NBCSN (but for hockey.)

When I think of the Oilers, I think of a team that desperately needs good defensemen. How good could their 6-9 defensemen actually be and why would anyone trade for them?

This would be great. Every night I hope on Kodi and watch the condensed action on Phoenix NHL, they are about 10 minutes long and catch all the exciting moments of the game. I can usually go through all of the games in an hour or so.

Love the Williams quote there, I totally imagined that's exactly how things were happening behind the scenes for guys who were obviously close to Richards. From a business standpoint, sure, get him out of here, but from a human and friendship standpoint, glad to see his close friends stick by him and hopefully help him get through a hard time. I have no doubt a team will be taking a flyer on him should his legal issues be resolved.

From the Oiler's board Fayne/Nikitin/Ference could all be jettisoned at this point and they'd be overjoyed. There's a difference between having defense available and having a quality top 4 defender that would actually help the Kings. They have some young defenders coming up soon, this year or next, that will replace those guys.

Neither. They're a lot better than either team, they've made the ECF 3 of the last 4 years and the SCF as well.

I had no idea this existed. Thank you so much!

Quick didn't get scored on in the third period either. For the entire series.
