Flyers, lol.

Yup. That sums things up pretty nicely and extremely accurately.
Outshot 19-2 in the 1st...neuvirth and Laughton the only players who showed up.
0-5 w/o Couturier...and it shows. Fowards are very lazy and careless , losing most battles, turning pucks over, shift in , shift out. Defensemen? What's that?

Signing a college coach with Zero professional experience to a 5 yr 10 M deal- mistake. He is continually perplexed that his 'system' isn't working when he doesn't have high speed/talented young players recruited to suit it.

Hopefully Auston Matthews likes the color orange.

neuvirth has been pretty solid to start the year

Nice writeup on Colin Miller, who is 2nd in scoring for NHL rookie defensemen with 5 pts. He's skating with Chara in practice and gettting shifts with him in game, prepping his path to a potential top pairing there.

Clearly things have been working out well for Miller as well as he settles into his first NHL season with the Bruins. He’s third among Bruins defensemen with his five points, he’s averaging 15:21 of ice time per game, and he’s managed to cobble together a plus-4 rating for a Bruins team that’s had some horrid nights defensively.

He’s also second behind only Torey Krug with his 19 shots on net, so it was fitting his first NHL score was a smoked one-timer that a goaltender had no chance of stopping.

and in ex King moves...he's back.

Flyers recall Davis Drewiske from LV (1 of 2 options they had under cap).

Flyers beat the Rangers without him, so they're actually 1-4-1.

He's been great, 5th time in his career he's faced 45 or more SOG. Last time he played the Oilers, last Nov as a Sabre and had 49 SOG's in a 3-2 loss. Career high is 51 vs the Canes in March 2014.

Continued stellar play with a team that soft on defense (and that includes the forwards) will impress scouts enough to earn him a multi year deal with a club next year.

His 2.13 GA is a miracle, given how many times he's saved goals, like he did last night.

Poor Dee. Such a great poster stuck watching such a dumpster fire team.

And as an long time Eagles fan, oh the pain (can't wait for the 'genius' Kelly to be gone , annoyed since his name came up as a coaching candidate. Even worse as a GM Grrrr) ...Phillies, nothing going on there. 76ers, eventually...

Just not a lot to get excited about but Hockey is my passion and it sucks that Homer and Snider screwed the fans of this team for years...

they are builing some nice pieces on the back end. Starting to turn it around

Yeah...Hextall has 5 top defense prospects growing in the tank, a goalie prospect and last year, finally! A top flight forward. But it will be years before the fruits of those seeds grow into NHL crops.
And Capt. Invisible, turns 28 in Jan...and no playoffs in sight. They need to trade him before he hits 30 and his prime years are done, get their best value. But they won't...4th straight yr he's started slow, they struggle and are playing golf in April.
At least Scott Laughton is finally getting his chance and he's doing well. that's my bright spot right now.

We have traded Roland McKeown, Colin Miller, and essentially Oscar Klefbom for rentals over the years....this has depleted our system so much so that Jamie McBain is playing and Forbort is sitting.
