The reason for the trade was pretty obvious before Friedman's 30 thoughts. It happened right after they grabbed Connauton off of waivers. Maloney found himself in a position where the Yotes could make the playoffs and he needed to put guys that can actually play in his lineup.

All of us are watching to see a total ****show, but then watch Scott toe drag some all-star D-man and snipe one bar down in the first minute of the 3 on 3. I'd literally fall the **** out of my seat.

I think Sutter should play Scott as a d-man and use Doughty as a forward. Leave his slow ass in their own end.

He could healthy scratch him, right?

Still don't like the way it all played out by both sides. Maybe the NHL should've given Scott the $9500 for making the team, told him still can't be there and both sides walk away. The Pacific won't win it with him on the team.

Kane already tying his career high in goals at 30 at just game 49.

Two more points tonight so far and people are still arguing others for MVP. Patty Kane is a crappy person but one hell of a hockey player. This years MVP discussion starts and ends with Patrick Kane.

Parise post game - "I vowed to never lose in this building again!"

And you wanna talk about disaster contracts, his is up there.

Maybe Stoll will do us a solid and take an O-Zone penalty with a minute to go in the 3rd while the Wild are trailing by one goal. You know, for nostalgia's sake.

At least he's a reason why the Wild have been relevant the past few years. Not the reason, but he's a factor.

Maybe it's because I follow the kings religiously and Doughty is Canadian but I think suter maybe more underrated than Drew. I sure hear him mentioned way less.

I follow him just as much as Doughty mostly because I've got an affinity for US-born players.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but with Scott playing for the Pacific, does that mean Arizona has no one representing them in the All Star game?
