Just setting up next game's GDT and realized that Toronto has 10 wins on the year, only 7 ROW. Even last place Columbus has 12 wins/12 ROW. Compare that with our 20 wins and 18 ROW.

Also, if the hockey gods have anything to say about it, guess who's probably going to get their first win of the season against his old team...

Babcock has less than zero confidence in him.

Maple Leafs down to one goalie. Looking for a call-up but can't find anything yet.

Still the most satisfying post season series win ever. The Canucks were so godawful smug, along with their fans that year.

i agree 100%.
I was surprised with how well the sedins owned up to the loss though. They didn't blame anyone or say Brown's hit was dirty (which obvisouly it wasn't) or anything.

Long time canucks hater...loved that series.

Since 2006-2013 the Vancouver Canucks have had only (two) players drafted, play over 100 NHL games for them.

That is abysmal drafting, just awful.

Would be interested to see how many other teams have had. 2010-2013 maybe not be fair to judge just yet,

Nothing official yet, but Antoine Bibeau, who was called up earlier this month when Reimer got injured and Bernier was down with the Marlies, will probably back up Bernier (or who knows with Babcock? maybe he will start him).

I do like how we put bush league stuff like this with our minor league team and the Ducks saw fit to do it for the NHL team.

Yup, that is definitely minor league stuff. Applicable to the Ducks and their venue down there.

speaking of minor league how about the pee-wee or tidbit kids getting into the line brawl at the reign game. haha

Burrows was always a piece of scum...From TSN today an article

Burrows broke NHL’s trash talking ‘code' with O'Sullivan

http://www.tsn.ca/burrows-broke-nhl-s-trash-talking-code-with-o-sullivan-1.411062

Patrick O'Sullivan recalling several years ago when Burrows chirped him on ice referencing what his father did.

Burrows (was the) only guy who said he wanted to hurt me like my father did,” O’Sullivan tweeted on Thursday. “(That’s) why I can’t stand him.”

Burrows when asked about it said he's more 'mature now, a different player' now. He said back then, playing 6 or 7 min a night on the 4th line, he did whatever it took to get into the other guy's kitchen and help his team and trash talking was a survival instinct

I'd like to see this 'mature' version...must be when he's playing on those nights that don't end in the letter y.

Now it's official.

Even though the tweet says otherwise, I am wondering whether Babcock will start him over Bernier anyway.

Waivers: JOHN SCOTT
ARI
CHRIS BROWN

Maybe finally the NHL will be free of another caveman if Scott goes unclaimed.

Guess that means he can't wear the C in the all star game...oh darn

Oh, that would be absolutely fantastic!!!

"Well John, the good news is you won the voting in a landslide to captain the Pacific division in this year's All-Star game. The bad news is that since you aren't currently in the NHL, your votes no longer count. Sor-ry!"

Maloney was obviously ordered by Bettman to save him ;)

I actually wouldn't be shocked to see Scott claimed though, as sad to say that as I am.

"Best defensive core" in the league is currently posting the worst numbers among all teams. Hemorrhaging nearly 3.5 goals per game. Flames also have the worst PK in the league by nearly 4 percent, the worst PP, and have a hilarious -22 differential; which is also worst in the league (tied with Coulombs). I remember hearing more than a few Flames fans saying their defensive core was better than the Kings. Kings currently have the best defense in the league and are a consistent top five unit. But that's none of my business.

big part of the kings d is the team defense. LA's forwards are much much better defensively than Calgary's
Doughty is one of the if not the top d-man in the league, but the depth in Calgary's top 6 is impressive. They are starting to gel. Just took longer than most though. Brodie is a stud. that said no way in hell I would trade LA's top 6 for Calgary's. Would trade LA's 2-6 for Calgary's 2-6 (assuming Brodie as their #1) as far as skill level. Not when it comes to contracts though

He'll just be keeping the net warm for the new guy...just inked a half hour ago.
Leafs have depth issues but geez...Razor is not very good.

Unless they need him for a cage match
