I would still rather have a #4 guy who could play with Doughty and let McNabb play on the third pair where he would be more comfortable.
But if that is not an option than getting a guy like Polak would be fine, the Kings would be in big trouble if they were one injury away from having both Forbort and Ehrhoff in the lineup.

I guess I agree with Herby that the depth/experience is nice but it's going to cost more than Weal to get him, ergo not really worth it.

People have given up on Weal already? He's got nine games under his belt, and while he hasn't shown us much, I thought he looked good last game. He was instrumental on Doughty's goal, though he didn't get a point on the play. Sutter doesn't put many (any?) rookies on the power play. I think that says something.
I can see him turning into a Lewis-type player with more of a scoring touch. I'd be fine with that.

I really hope the ducks just bomb this year, not bomb for a top 10 pick, but bomb so they just miss the top 10 and trade it away for a bag of pucks.
The ex made me bitter to that franchise even more.
Even if we somehow get back together I still hope they end up that way and have trouble for eons.

It's so obvious who catches Kings games and who doesn't. So many absurd comments lately, that the main boards are unbearable. Let them have their stats and I will just have to wait for the playoffs for the Kings to prove them wrong again.

Weal's 200ft game is not anywhere near Lewis, not even close. Weal is not even a 200ft player, that's not his game at all.

Nothing new, really. The Kings are an amazing team so Doughty is carried by them, Quick is carried by them, Kopitar is carried by them...but individually they're all terrible, Quick is the most overrated goalie in history, Doughty is a blowhard and not a top-10 d-man most years and have these I misinterpreted charts and cherrypicked stats to prove it, Kopitar is 45 years old and his skeleton won't hit 50 points next year, but they're all carried by a bunch of other great players I can't name.
Actually the Quick stuff is kind of funny because of the interesting stats about all goalies struggling with less than 20 shots, but HIS struggling is worse because I said so.

Well I got to admit, Doughty is loved by many on this site. Sometimes a little too much.
Quick on the other hand, is totally the opposite. Nobody likes him.
