In real life, a Sharks fan actually complained in front of me how Quick "always moves the net".

Use this flash card next time you see him:

Weal's 200ft game is not anywhere near Lewis, not even close. Weal is not even a 200ft player, that's not his game at all.

I have to say Lewis isn't a 200 foot player either. There's a net at one end Lewis is completely oblivious to.

Lewis coming out of the USHL probably helped him be defensively responsible immediately. Weal's been asked to be a offensive catalyst on every team he's been on. Doesn't mean he can't develop some solid defensive instincts. Both guys are fast, relatively small and solid forecheckers.

If you want to say that 500-game vet Trevor Lewis is better defensively than the guy with 9 NHL games under his belt, I'm not going to argue with you. That's not really saying much though, either.

Trevor Lewis is 6'1" 200 LBS. Jordan weal is small, really small. They are nothing alike at all, not even close.

^That's true. Lewis has bulked up since he came into the league, but I didn't realize Weal was 5'9, 165.

My initial point was that I haven't given up on Weal but this should probably be in the roster talk thread anyways.

MTL is collapsing without Price.

Big time, tonight they got blasted by the Stars.

Price really earned the MVP last year and it's easy to see why.

Speaking of the Stars, during the Kings 1st period intermission tonight on Sportsnet, Elliotte Friedman said that the referees notified the league a few weeks ago that the Stars centers are going down to 1 or both knees during faceoffs. He said although there is no rule against that, (and they showed videos of the stars taking faceoffs on 1 or both knees ) they were warned by the league not to do it any longer.

Or what? If it's not against the rules, they can't give them a penalty. It's not a faceoff violation. Just because they found a way to be creative an win faceoffs? Seemed odd.

Ryan Johansen- Darren Dreger said that the BJ's are getting calls on him and that most of the questions are about his character issues. A big concern for the GM's inquiring . He mentioned the Preds, blues and habs as some of the teams and said the Ducks are also very interested.
Shame the guy has that size and talent and is such a petulant child . If he were 20 or 21, you might think he's young enough to grow out of it but he'll turn 24 this year. Unless he really wants off the team...
ONe of the bluejackets reporters said that RJ and Torts don't get along at all and the handwriting is on the wall.

Because it's dangerous. The moment a Stars player loses 8 teeth from the blade of the opposing player's stick is the time that **** ends.

Pitt is in free fall, it's a flawed team full of individuals. It needs a house cleaning top to bottom. They need to trade Malkin, and start over around Crosby.

Nashville would give up one hell of a package for Malkin. Kessel(EAT some more donuts, mmm donuts) has been an absolute bust everywhere except Toronto.

Weber. both teams get what they need.

Pens have been failing for years, have no understanding of the concept of what TEAM means, Together Everyone Achieves More.
I'm not sure Crosby isn't a part of the problem , despite elite skill, lacks leadership , which has been evident in the every playoff run in the last several years. Certain players have that 'it' factor during the pressure cooker that is the SC playoffs and some players don't and it's not about skill se t It's a mental toughness that certain players are born to, comes out in the most critical situations and the good ones thrive in that environment. He doesn't have that.
There is and has been something very wrong in that locker room that coaching changes won't cure.

Why even try salvaging something in Pittsburgh? It's done. Blow it up.

Sure glad they decided to fire Johnson and hire Sullivan after the Kings OT loss.

Since then, they are 0-4-0 and have been outscored 15-4.

Gee, I guess it wasn't the coach, after all.

My reaction to the talking head on the NHL Network when he says

"Getzlaf always shows up in the big games, always shows up in the playoffs"
