You are also assuming it will be an easy ticket to get.
You have to remember that reports have said that they got 14.5K season ticket deposits. That was before going to anything corporate. It could cool down in a year or two but I actually see it as a hard to get ticket in the beginning.
I do think Foley will push to have the Kings continue to come to Vegas for the preseason, Frozen Fury, type event. He would actually be kind of crazy to stop it. Like you said the Kings would just become the road team.

Kings have a sell out streak going but I've sold tickets for $25 on StubHub at times and not just for the Carolinas and Buffalos of the world.

The Kings will bring a premium but nobody will be priced out especially when it is part of a Vegas trip. Just toss that Cirque money at hockey instead.

Anyone nervous about which players we will lose in the expansion draft?

Every team is going to lose something. With how things have gone since the 2nd Cup, I'm sure whoever the Kings lose will turn into a legit top line/pairing player though.

huh? since the 2nd cup the players LA has lost:
Richards: Turned into what he was in LA - a 4th line centre
Williams: 2nd/3rd line tweener, seems to be struggling on D more with each year
Sekera: has not turned into top pair in Edmonton.
Voyonv: is in Russia
Jones: Turned into #1 goalie, but we would have lost for nothing

Who am I missing?

Bickell and TT to Carolina for a 2nd and a 3rd.

Good deal for the canes as they get TT (yes i am too lazy to look up how to spell his name but not type out this drawn out sentence). Good for the hawks as now they have cap room for Shaw.

great deal for the Canes with adding Teravainen, and the Canes were a lot better last year they I thought they'd be, esp defensively. He'll be nice add to their forward group. Hawks knew in order to shed Bickell, they'd have to lose somebody.

yup, plus losing the rangers 2nd is really no big deal for the canes.
I really like the hurricanes D and that's without Fleury who will be good when ready. I want DL to try and poach Murray but I doubt that would happen.

The hurricanes should be better in net next year unless the re-sign Ward. They would be a prime spot for Reimer IMO

So they pretty much gave up Teravainen with Bickell to sign Shaw.

Hawks also need $$$ for Panarin among others.

And although Ward wants to stay, i think that the Canes are moving on. Reimer, wants to be a starter and in SJ that ain't happenin', so despite the fact I've heard that the Leafs want him back, Carolina would be a much better landing spot for him.

I wonder if the Canes get a taker for Skinner, they've been trying to move him for a couple years now.'

The Hurricanes effectively swapped Eric Staal and a 2017 3rd for Teuvo Teravainen, Aleksi Saarela, and a 2017 2nd. Take a bow, Ron Francis.

Yeah, nicely done.

I just meant that everything has pretty much gone against the Kings since the 2nd Cup. So of course an expansion pick will be the guy the Kings have needed all along.

Now we see how untradeable Brown is. It took Teravainen to get rid of 1 year of Bickell at $4m. Brown has 6 years at almost $6m left. That's like, Toffoli at 50% for next year, Kempe, the 2017 1st, the 2018 1st, and the entire 2019 and 2020 drafts.

Yeah, nicely done.

Panarin doesn't need a new deal until next season and Bickell only had 1 year left. Doesn't affect Panarin.

I thought the "trade Skinner" banter had died down with his play this past year? I think they would be dumb to move him. His contract only has a few years left and they don't need that space anyway

I think it died down because they didn't have many takers. Good player but 3 major concussions in his first 4 years...changed him a bit. And maybe with added forward talent, less pressure on him will help.

yup brown is completely untradeable. Maybe if LA took a bad contract back it would lessen the aske

Bolland for Brown + :(:(:(:(

Ugly

Lots of holes to fill, esp forwards , and little $$

#Blackhawks now have estimated $60.96M projected cap hit for 7 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies.

Lombardi has got to be stewing with the flat salary cap AND the upcoming expansion draft. I'm sure he's trying to figure out some way for it to work to his advantage, really not an easy task though. Signing Lucic is going to make it super tough for this team to get another D man that we desperately need. We're already seeing cap casualty moves with the Hawks moving Bickell and TT just to clear up space.

It's not likely Lucic signs a 3 yr deal, term was crucial, per his agent, on why he didn't sign in Boston. He's getting his scorecard updated with July 1 a couple weeks away.
And DL know it's critical to get that top D, and if that means moving $$, he'll have to that. Given they're at 68M, and he's actively hunting a D, he knows the score.
